I tried the guava shaved ice and it had chunks of guava throughout and was topped with slices of guava and a candied straw. It was super refreshing and not too sweet. I can't wait to try other flavors. The owner of Raspados La Piñita was friendly and I could see the pride she put into the items as she described how she would eat these foods in her home town in Mexico.

Total we paid for 5 cups was $20.67. Flavors were off. They didn't taste like traditional Tropical Sno brand and the ice was very chunky. Not soft like real shaved ice. The tables were sticky and dirty. I had to ask to have them wiped. Customer service was ok. Nothing extraordinary. There were no customers when we visited st 8:00pm. The location may have to do with that. Snow cone stand is hidden in the parking lot of the retail building. In front of Soleil Tanning and La James School of Beauty. Overall it was meh. I've been burned by this in the past - come prepared! I just love the vibe of the shop, the way it's decorated, the staff are friendly, and the ice cream is great. My go to is plain vanilla soft serve in a cup with Krunch Kote! It's a peanut butter flavored crunchy topping that I have dreams about. The googly eyes they put on everything is so iconic! A Johnston staple I hope is around for many years to come :)
