What a good find this was for us! Late in the afternoon, desperate for somewhere to stay, on a very empty and cold A5, a motel by the side of the roadIt turns out this is the only residential dru yoga taining place in the UK, and they had a spare room for the night. Staff are so welcoming, so friendly, and the other people there were also so cheerful! We were invited to share dinner at the vegetarian cafe(the butternut squash and split peas bake was a revelation)and had a really nice chat with a lady who turns out to be I let you find out for yourself. The accomodation itself is 2 stars, there are no TVs in the bedrooms- perfect to find yourself-, but finding hot water bottles in the wardrobe was great!
The grounds and the surroundings are STUNNING! There is a brook on the side of the lodge, a calm garden, fields with jumping lambs(well, there was last week) and many other delightful corners to discover. This is a great place as a base for walkers who want somewhere quiet to rest overnight. read more
