Im so torn with this review. I really love the new trend of shaved ice cream and stumbled upon this place in a strip mall. We were given menus and then waited a half hour to order even though it wasn't that busy. The menu is a dream to any treat lover with tantalizing pictures for people unfamiliar to this new craze! I ordered the make it yourself snow. It came with strawberry snow, strawberries, chocolate syrup, strawberry boba, and toffee pieces. Once again it took forever to arrive and they served it without spoons which was another feat tracking down our unenthusiastic server. However when it arrived, I was delighted at the huge heap of deliciousness in front of me. Probably one of the most delightful treats that I have ever tasted! First time at Snowflake, so why didn't they warn us about the colossal size of these desserts? One friend got the shaved ice, and her boyfriend got two little cups of ice cream. We ordered the honey toast which is as thick as Texas toast, but heavier, but not so dense as pound cake, if that helps. Inside they throw a bunch of ice cream, whip cream, toppings like M&Ms, and bananas...it was glutinous for sure. It tasted pretty good. The bread was a little dry, though. And the size is just immense. Seriously you need to be sharing this with like six people. I was just shocked at how big it was. I tried my friend's shaved ice, and wow was that good! I'm thinking it's less calories, and wondered if it's dairy free. Anyway, it was great, and she ordered some extra toppings on it like lychee and some kind of fruity pearls. Really good stuff! We love this place for desserts! Snowflake is a drinks and desserts shop that mainly offers Taiwanese-style shaved ice and bubble tea. They are also known for their crepes and honey toast-box desserts. It's located in a resurgent shopping center off of Pleasant Hill Road with a huge parking lot. It's in the complex as Sweet Hut, 89 Hot Pot, Creme, etc. Our favorite items to get here are the macaron party (which is a honey toast box that's filled with ice cream scoops and topped with macarons; you can customize the ice cream flavors and macarons I believe), the fruit crepes, and the shaved ice desserts (of course). Most of the flavors are very good here but we weren't fans of the chocolate options for the crepes and shaved ice. We usually like chocolate but it just doesn't work with the textures and shaved ice here. For a more authentic experience, go with the taro, green tea, or strawberry shaved ice and vanilla ice cream for the crepes. The shaved ice and crepes are pretty big so they are easily shareable, unless you're really hungry. But the macaron party should be shared, since it's more fun that way. One more thing we wouldn't recommend here is the bubble tea. There are better options and this place just doesn't do it well. After I saw pictures of honey brick toast online, I've been scouring around Atlanta and Duluth for it and found this little gem. The honey brick toast here is really delicious with the rich, crispy bread pairing delightfully with the creamy ice cream topping. Make sure to come with plenty of friends to eat with though, because you get full quickly and the taste grows dull after a while. The shaved ice and crepes are also quite tasty, but none of these are eye-openingly delicious, aside from my initial bite of honey toast. They have a variety of things on the menu but I decided to go with the shaved ice. In the menu you choose a type of Snow, then a Snow sauce and the toppings. I had the Taro Snow with strawberry sauce and they let you choose two topping so I got the Taro balls and Boba. We also got the Mango Snow with condensed milk as the sauce with Taro balls. It is a big portion and I couldn't finish one by myself so if you don't eat much dessert I suggest you share it. We got the jasmine rose tea which was served in a beautiful flowered tea set with a candle beneath to keep the tea warm on this cold day. It had a very sweet, flowery flavor which I enjoyed a lot. With the shaved ice, you get to choose a base, a syrupy, and two toppings. We chose mango with condensed milk and fresh mango pieces, topped with lycee and mochi. It was the perfect combination of flavors for us. Unless you have a pretty empty stomach, I'd recommend sharing this dish with someone as it comes in a good size dish. The husband ordered their Strawberry Lover Honey Toast. Both orders were definitely made to share! Four people could very well finish those two orders alone! As far as amount, very good for the price. The only downfall? I also ordered the taro black milk tea. It was a watered down tea with a very subtle hint of taro, if at that. I love the teas here and I think the pots and cups that they come in are so cute and pretty. I tried the rose earl grey tea with crystal jelly, rose green milk tea and wintermelon green tea; all served cold. I also got the rose lavender tea in a pot, served hot. They have a lot of toppings for the teas and each one is an additional 50¢ but that's still pretty cheap because a majority of their teas are $2.75-$3.50. If you drink a tea there, they come in a glass cup but for to-go, the tea comes in a typically plastic bubble tea cup. There are Jenga and cards that you can play while you are there. read more

When you come in, you are seated to a table where you'll order and you pay at the register. The decor is cute and fun. they have lot of seating available and little games you are your table can play together. The menu includes varieties of flavored shaved ice, crepes, ice creams, brick toast and boba teas. I mostly get the shaved ice (~$7), which is pretty big. enough for 2 or 3 to share but I usually finish it off myselflol the yogurt is my favorite but they also have other awesome flavors to try with lots of toppings to choose from. For me, Snowflake Tea House is like a long-distance BFF. I don't get to see her often, but when we get together, it's all rainbows and sunshine, in edible form. I've gotten the Taiwanese shaved ice/snow ($7) here and a bubble tea. The snow portion was extremely generous so sharing with a pal might be your best bet, especially if you stuff yourself with dinner at a nearby restaurant beforehand. I tried the taro option, rounding off the whole shebang with my selections of condensed milk, mango popping boba, grass jelly. Never fear if those don't strike your fancy; you can get other toppings and sauces. I'd never tried mango popping boba, so it was very reminiscent of eating salmon roe, but there's tropical juice inside instead of eggy fish stuff. Fun and yum! The snow was great, with endless strips of creamy ice. Very tasty. Unlike some other places, you don't seem to be able to select a level of sweetness for teas. Or if they do, I wasn't asked. Luckily they aren't too heavy-handed here as the default. The Tea House offers plenty of tea choices: black, green, hot, cold, fruity, etc. I got a regular-sized iced passionfruit black milk tea with boba that was delightful. Snowflake didn't skip on the boba either, hooray. They were perfectly chewy and not too sugary, yep. My tea was $2.75 with boba costing an extra 50¢. I've heard compliments about the crepes, and the toasts look mad scientist-like. I'll have to try one sometime, if I can escape the lure of the snow. Family-friendly Snowflake also offers table service. They have a bunch of board games to play if you're into that sort of thing. The young employees seemed upbeat and were cordial.
