Walking around Abbot Kinney automatically puts me in this chill, happy mood... definitely one of the best streets in LA. The flea market has amazing vendors... I loved all of the unique jewelery and being able to talk to the artists themselves about their products. It's like walking through etsy.com! haha... This downscale flea market SUCKS! Takes down the coolness of Abbot Kinney mucho notches! Basic stuff you can find at any Flea Market. Go to the Boardwalk. better prices for the same stuff. Dissappointing. Especiaslly since other brick and mortar shops on the street have way better merchandise from local designers and artists! This is a great little Flea Market! I'm not into spending a lot on stuff, and the prices here are great! It's basically made up of loads of local designers/artists who set up a table each and sell their stuff independently. Nearly everything is handmade and great quality! There are markets every Saturday and (I think) every Sunday, plus on the first friday night of every month, part of the Abbot Kinney First Friday street party (fantastic fun!). You don't always have the same vendors there every time, so you'll have to go a couple of times to get a feel for the market. Some of the vendors take credit cards, but mostly it's a cash/check thing. Definitely a great addition to (mainly overpriced!) Abbot Kinney. read more

Can I give a no star? okay, I'll give one star for the pretty colors of bags. I bought a bag from My Mishion, the bag retailer in the front. The sales lady did her best to charm me to buy a bright colorful bag and I did because aesthetically they were nice looking. But I only wore it for two weeks then I realized how poorly it was made. The straps broke and I couldn't close the flap. Went back to have it exchanged because I was always able to exchange anything I bought that was broken. Sales lady refused AND WAS VERY RUDE about it! It seemed like she was expecting that to happen. I have no doubt she knew how CRAPPY HER STUFF WAS! I told her the bag was useless to me and she said she wasn't responsible for anything the customers put in a bag. HEY BAG LADY! You're a woman. I bought a BIG bag, what type of woman would only put a lipstick and car keys in a BIG bag? You're DOING DISHONEST work! She walked away, I was so PISSED off at her I wanted to throw the bag and yell WTF! but I didn't because I saw she was pregnant. But THAT WAS NO EXCUSE TO BE RUDE AND DISHONEST! I left the SHITTY ASS BAG on the table because she refused to make any changes and give me back my 45 bucks. I mean the bag was USELESS! MY MISHION BAGS was the only one who treated me wrong on this alley. Jewelry seller across from her was so kind to fix a broken necklace and told me to bring it back if I had any problems. Wished the same from MY MISHION BAGS. This happened years ago, but I see that My Mishion is still treating customers like SHIT! STAY AWAY FROM THE BAG SELLER!!!! $ read more

Great place to find that unique piece of jewelry that'll separate you from the rest of the mall/department store shoppers. Also, a great place to pick up vegan handbags. They're beautiful handbags and I'm amazed at the quality for such a low price. The artist are super friendly and can tell you alot about their products.
