We get the pass through my employer or at the Prana Carlsbad Outlet store. (Just ask when you make a purchase). If you're a senior you can go on Tuesdays or the military has access year round with proof of affiliation. Brands that are on offer are: Columbia, Mountain Hardwear, prAna, and SOREL. Items offered are anything from women's workout wear to fleece jackets, puffer jackets, jeans, hiking/travel pants, shirts, vests, T-shirts, beanie hats, socks, blankets, yoga mats and more. The store is located in a business park setting with free parking. They're open 10am-7pm every day of the week. You first check-in with the front desk where they will check your pass and then you're free to wander the store which is a large warehouse type setting. Fitting rooms are available to try things on. Restrooms are located at the front near check-in. We've typically been going a few times a year over the last 5 years or so. It's hit and miss -- sometimes we spend a few hundred and other times walk out with nothing. Size selections vary. Stock does change, but I also see the same staples there all the time. The merchandise is discounted, but is still pricey due to the fact the brands on offer are pricey brands to begin with. (i.e. these are not TJMaxx kind of prices!) If you're into the outdoors, camping, hiking, traveling, working out and you can get your hands on a pass (or go Senior Tuesdays or are in the military) check this store out! I've been using Speedo swim goggles for years. The best Speedo goggles I ever owned - never fogged…read moreor leaked - cost $9 dollars and were made some twenty years ago. Things have changed in this industry and with this company. Speedo goggles are so high tech now, they barely work at all. I have had nothing but leaking and fogging problems with Speedo goggles advertised as anti-fog. FYI, I always rinse my goggles after use and keep them in a protective case, never loose or in the sun. But I haven't been able to find a goggle that worked since my $9 basic pair forever, until someone recently introduced me to Aqua Sphere. You may not know their name because they are not so much into self-promotion. But they make really good goggles that don't leak or fog. They also make slightly oversize goggles that are even better to swim with unless you're racing, which I'm not. Their customer service is exceptional and easy if you have a problem (which is not true with Speedo anymore). I highly recommend Aqua Sphere goggles. And am looking for new ear plugs so will check to see if they make them.

I am certified scuba instructor. I spent $4,500 on an Aqua Lung Fusion Bullet drysuit,…read moreundergarments and protective shell in March 2023. I hadn't used it until November 27th to test in pool for drysuit instructor class. After my pool session the feet were full of water. I tested the suit again on December 3rd and the feet were full of water again. I tried calling the Aqualung customer service number 5 times and spent hours on hold. Then I used the dive shop selection from the automated line and they told me I needed to go through the dive shop. I have filed a warranty claim through the dive shop and Aqua Lung hast not responded. It has been months of trying to engage with Aqua Lung. It feels like the company is waiting for the warranty to expire. I will never recommend Aqua Lung to my scuba diving students.

Both masks had a small flow from the inside. They needed to be serviced. Sandra helped me with connection with Jesse. Jesse (Tech) was able to diagnose and gave me options over the phone. His knowledge base is outstanding with these masks. They need to be serviced every two years of 100 dives. I had 10 days to get our masks serviced. Jesse made and appointment for me and I went down to Ocean Reef. They have a beautiful facility and everyone was welcoming. Jesse recommended a new folding support for the communication system and had my masks done in two hours. Thank you to all at Ocean Reef. We love your masks and the service is outstanding.

The first call I made was answered immediately and I was given instructions on troubleshooting. No luck so I was instructed to send the unit to them and they would repair or replace it. They replaced it with a brand new unit that retails for over $500.00. No charge!! Every person I had contact with was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. I can't imagine buying any equipment other than Ocean Reef.
