If you're looking for an amazing workout, great trainers, and a family friendly atmosphere, look no…read morefurther! Burn Boot Camp is great, private gym in a great location! I've been going to Burn for over a year now and could not be happier! The classes offer one on one training, a variety of cardio and strength sets and also personalized focus meetings with a trainer ! Check it out today !

I purchased this on Groupon. I went only 1 time. When I arrived 3 woman were working, I believe…read moreone was Jo. They were very friendly and welcoming and were able to warm up with me while they gave me a run down of the gym. That day in particular there were 5 stations at your pace but at a good pace and encouraged by instructor. It was hard to gage some of the other people, few others seemed new, a woman who they partnered me up with said she was a regular and loved it. The work out was great, unfortunately part of the particular workout is running down the strip mall sidewalk in front of the pub and back. There is a reason I choose the privacy of a gym. The equipment seemed kind of run down but still usable. The workout was great! I was sore and feeling great before it was even over. On my way out the staff had asked me to stop by the desk to officially check in. At this point they said my Groupon was good for 4 weeks and offered 3 to 4 different packages around $100+ a month. I asked if I could wait to decide once I have been there more than once and the woman at the desk said this was a 1 time offer and price would go up if I decided to sign a contract later locking me in. I was also told there is no month to month membership available. Having been to other nicer gyms that offer more amenities for same price or lower, I declined. The pressure sale is a major turnoff and will guarantee no business from me, it's not cool. I chose not to return ever. High pressure sales tactics aren't only illegal, they're bad for business.

The trainer over the program, Ron, is very thorough, innovative and a great teacher in health and wellness. It is a boot camp style of small group workout that I do but he also offers individual training. He also is a licensed massage therapist in which I see clients of his frequent because of muscle tensions from weight lifting etc. The sessions are not monotonous so my body is never used to doing the same reps and excercise. Because the weather has warmed up he has utilized the outdoors for us to do our workouts which I find to be helpful and a wave of fresh air from all the sweat! Lol. We use battle ropes, tires, sandbag, free weights, resistance bands, trx, gigantic tires, basically anything you can name for this well equipped facility. The price is vey reasonable $50/month unlimited sessions. Sessions throughout the week are 5am-6am and evenings either 5pm-6pm or 6 pm-7pm. Saturdays it is at 8am-9am. Or you can just do a $10 drop in fee. Can't beat that. I definitely recommend him to anybody to try out!

He pushes me pass what I think is my potential and I continuously reach new heights. No one would have told me last year that I would be able to lift weights, do real push ups, push and pull sand bags and run miles; let alone do 100 bicycles(smiles). Not only do I look better and people notice the change, I feel better. KUDOS to Ron and Fitness University

UPDATE: 9/29/14. Be advised that this club closed & "relocated" abruptly with NO notice given to…read moreits members. They moved to Reynoldsburg, which is farther than I'm willing to go (this location we already kind of far for me). Because of these developments, I mean to cancel my membership. It stinks that I have to go all the way out there to do it in person; but I should have quit long ago. --------------------------------- Prices are good, but as they say, you get what you pay for. They do have lots of treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and the like, but not a lot of weight-bearing machines/equipment. As has been mentioned, this place is not very clean (carpet is just gross). But in addition, the hand weights and other small items are never where they are supposed to be (I end up wandering around the gym searching for them), and in the evenings when I'm there no one is available to help with anything. The "heavy lifters" hog the equipment and hang around on it, chatting in between sets, and suddenly no one from the staff is around. As if letting me work in with my quick 10 reps will cause their muscles to deflate or something! Ridiculous. So if you need help with any of the equipment, or have any questions, you're pretty much on your own. I could probably live with almost everything, if I could actually find the small weights I need at a given time. I hate walking around, scoping out the place to find them - and I'm sure the other members are pretty creeped out by this by now! I know this falls on the members too, but the staff obviously makes *no* effort to keep things in place at all.

I find out after going there that the carpet is always dirty, locker room is dirty, and a lot of their machines were falling apart. One of the elliptical machines needed a rubber-band to keep the handle together. My membership came with 3 sessions with a personal trainer. After showing up for my first appointment, he wasn't there. That kind of set the mood for the remainder of my membership. I wasn't too impressed with the trainers anyways, as I have noticed them too interested in their cell phones instead of their clients. When it came time to cancel my membership I submitted my request a month out from the end of my term, as is the way it says in the contract. So why was I receiving emails, phone calls, and attempted credit card charges for the membership 2 months after it ended?? Thanks to South Beach Fitness in Gahanna I had to cancel my debit card to avoid any charges, and am still waiting for my new card to arrive. Good thing my wife has one at least... If I were you and you are reading this, I would consider a different gym. There are other reviews that mention similar experiences. It can't be a coincidence!!
