Hire Roy. Now! You won't regret it! As many soon-to-be married couples understand, there is so much that goes into a wedding, and it's incredibly easy to get overwhelmed. At the time of our wedding planning, my fiancée (now wife, thank God) had no clue how to choose a DJ or even where to start. My brother recommended Roy since he had experienced Roy's DJ skills firsthand. We met up with Roy in person once before the wedding so he could get to know us better. After the meeting, we were able to give him a list of songs we specifically wanted for our wedding. He is super easy to work with! To our surprise, he was also the MC (I thought we'd have to hire one in addition to him)! Onto the wedding day/night. Roy provided music for both our ceremony and reception, which were in different locations on the same resort. One of my biggest concerns was if guests would actually stick around on the dance floor all night. Roy made sure that happened! His music choices (in addition to our requests) were spot on to what the crowd loved! Guests who I never thought would actually be dancing were staying on the floor the whole night! You could hear everyone singing as their favorite dance songs played. It was an absolute blast! Roy's contribution to our wedding and reception will always have a special place in our memories. Roy was one of the best choices we made as during our wedding planning. 1st off he's extremely personable and easy to talk to and get along with. Prepping and planning ahead of time was a breeze because he provided templates for us to work off of and suggestions that made choosing music for certain parts of the wedding flow better. During the wedding, everyone was super happy with the music selection that he played. I just gave him genres and he took care of the rest. After the wedding, my wife and I were complimented on how much everyone like the music and that they got to dance. Our class hired Roy to DJ our 8th grade class dance. What a great decision we made! He was very professional and really great with the kids. If you want to DANCE at your wedding and have a great time at the reception then you really need to hire Roy! We had Roy DJ our ceremony, dinner, and reception. He is so sweet and easy to work with. He listened to all our requests and really came through. It was so nice to have one thing you didn't have to worry about on your big day! He came to set up early and the people at the venue loved working with him. I'm not sure how he did it but he had music playing all over the place and the venue had multiple rooms! The music for the ceremony was flawless. He played everything we asked, right on cue, and it was magical. We had a Mad Men theme going and there were great songs from the 60's he played during dinner that really set the mood. He also did a great job MC-ing. I had to change into a dress to do my first dance and he hosted a game that got the crowd laughing and engaged. But the BEST part was once the dance floor was open! He got everyone moving and shaking, from 1 year olds to my dad in his late 80's! It was so much fun. Roy was referred to us by a co-worker and we are so happy to have found him. He met with us multiple times leading up to the event and was always smiling and excited to do so. He's well experienced and rolled with changes we threw at him day before - even adding speaker locations at no additional fee. I went to a 90's-themed dance party that Roy was hosting/DJing and he was second out of three. The first guy was GOOD, he definitely got people moving and shaking it, but when Roy went up to do his set the energy changed. This guy has so much positivity that it leaks into his work, within minutes the whole dance floor was not just moving but JUBILANT about it; it turned into "Hey we're all here, you're cool, I'm cool, let's have a good time, ya?" the kind of party where you don't actually care what you're doing or what you look like because suddenly the most important thing is having as much fun as possible, but you ARE being cool and you DO look good because the music he's playing is working you like a happy, freaked-out little marrionette. Transitioning from him to the third and last DJ of the night was a huge let down-- immediate change in energy. I honestly wished that Roy had just another half-hour in his set because I wanted to keep going. Roy knows how to read the room, get people up, give people breaks when they need them, and lead the party from start to finish. He always seems to have music playing internally because he's always bobbing his head with a huge smile on his face. One of the most approachable and likeable guys you can meet.
