What a great experience it was to work with Ultimate Events! Our appointment with Dean was fantastic. He was informative, courteous, and fun. He gave us a demonstration of the equipment available, and let us know what features were included in the packages he offered. Most importantly, he explained what the differences were between a regular DJ and a wedding DJ. A really good wedding DJ will make the reception appear seamless. They will engage the audience, use ice-breakers, and get them in the mood to dance. They are funny, appropriate, and keep the reception flowing in a timely manner. Dean made sure he had all the pronunciation of my wedding party correct. He had me fill out a questionnaire to ascertain what exact songs I wanted for crucial moments like our first dance, the father-daughter dance, the wedding party dance, and the bouquet / garter toss. I recently had the opportunity to produce the entertainment for a beautiful wedding at the LaQuinta Resort. I was familiar with Ultimate Events from previous events that I had worked on, and was so happy that Dean was able to send Don to this event. This was a very high-end wedding with elaborate custom designs, entertainment and many details to attend to. Throughout the planning process both Dean and Don maintained contact with the bride and made sure that every one of her requests was clearly understood and worked into their detailed timeline. Don arrived in plenty of time to be set and ready to go when guests arrived in the room for the reception. He easily managed all of the speeches making sure to adjust volumes so everyone could be heard clearly. This was important to the families as guests had flown in from around the country and were meeting eachother for the first time. As with many complex events, staying on schedule is difficult. Don worked closely with the wedding coordinator to keep things on track and make sure the photographers and videographer got every shot they needed. He also was helpful to the resort's staff, making announcements that helped to facilitate smooth dinner service. Most importantly, Don kept the focus on the Bride, Groom and their guests. His experience was evident as he was able to play music that appealed to all ages. Using a nice mix of classics, standards and contemporary music, he kept the dance floor filled throughout the entire event. Even those who don't like to dance found themselves partaking in the fun. The day after the wedding, I talked with one of the bridesmaids. This had been the 5th wedding she had been in this year, and she said this was by far the best wedding of them all. I asked her what made this wedding stand out and she credited the DJ for keeping the dance floor exciting and full all night long. As someone who has been involved in the entertainment industry, providing live entertainment for over 30 years, I was very pleased with Don's pleasant demeanor, the politeness with which he interacted with each and every person, and his effective management of the event. Dean, Dean, Dean. Where do I begin? My husband and I hired Dean without even meeting him (we lived far away from where we were getting married). Once you talk to him, you'll understand why. From our first conversation, Dean convinced us that he is made for this job: he is not only gregarious, outgoing, and kind, but he is also very creative and intuitive. He led every discussion we had, knowing just the kinds of questions to ask in order to get to know my husband, me, and our guests. He had a set of very detailed forms that allowed us to be sure that our requests and our style would be catered to at the wedding. Sure enough, Dean delivered - above and beyond anything we could have ever expected. The games that we had agreed to "just in case," "as a last resort," turned out to be the hit of the night. Old people and young people alike were laughing, even yelling, over the trivia and other games Dean was integrating seamlessly into the night while my husband and I frantically tried to visit everyone. There were even people that I tried to say hello to that told me, "wait wait, I have to win this game first!" Sign of a good time: people don't even want to say hello to the bride! I was so relieved. He took requests from our guests without deviating from what my husband and I had told him we wanted from the beginning; he recognized birthdays, anniversaries; incorporated trivia about my husband and me in dismissing tables to eat; checked in with my husband and me about timing and was flexible every step along the way; and, most importantly, the party bumped the ENTIRE night. I feel like I'm rambling, but there's more: Dean somehow made our 200-person party feel intimate. EVERYONE was engaged with what he was saying, the games he was playing, the tricks he was pulling. It was crazy. An unexpected highlight: Dean somehow found out that my 8-year-old cousin was playing a DJ game on his iPad while everyone was dancing. Apparently the kid LOVES DJ stuff - who knew? They communicated quickly via email and phone and had a lot of good ideas based on their experience as a DJ. I had a wonderful and amazing consultation with Dean and DJ Stephen. First of all, their office presentation with the up-lights (live demo of the LED up-lights in action) was awesome and their intelligent lighting system was amazing. Secondly, they brought up fun and fresh ideas that I didn't hear from other DJs/Event Coordinators or seen at other weddings. Lastly, we asked them if we could hear a mix and DJ Stephen sent us a mix within a few days and it was amazing. You truly appreciate how much of a difference DJ can make in a wedding and Dean made us feel like a priority every step of the way and made us feel at ease with our big day. It was strange to see so few reviews on Yelp for Dean and it was worse to learn that there are many reviews hidden by Yelp. Ultimate Events works by referral, word of mouth, and repeat business, so they don't need to pay for advertising on Yelp. Shame on Yelp for hiding the majority of their amazing reviews. BEST DJ EVER!!!!! When planning my wedding I found Ultimate Events on Yelp. They were rated number one so I set up a appointment with Dean to get more information. He had a ton of useful suggestions and had a great & friendly personality - I knew right away I wanted to book him as our wedding DJ. He emailed me links to fill out forms related to information he needed about my wedding which included lists of songs and suggestions. It was organized and helpful in the chaos of wedding planning. He had great suggestions while still listening to me and helping me plan exactly what I wanted on my big day. He was so organized and basically acted as my wedding planner. He was one step ahead of me with what I needed on my wedding day and kept me informed through out the night about what was going on. So entertaining and interactive with the guests. I could go on and on about how amazing he made my wedding day. Almost all my guests said my wedding was the most fun EVER and DJ Dean was a huge reason why! We had DJ Dean for our wedding on 9/6/14, and he is one of the reasons why our wedding was so freaking awesome! I can't tell you how many people came up to us after the wedding and said it was the best wedding they've ever been to. If I had more money, I would have given it to him. I fell in love with him the moment we met lol. A lot of my friends told me he's booked for their wedding and some of those friends aren't even dating anyone hahaha. From the beginning through the very end, DJ Dean was super friendly, quick to respond, helpful, and FUN. Not only did he DJ and MC our wedding, he was basically our wedding coordinator. He made an agenda which was down to every minute and everything was so flawless. I'm not a fan at all of those cheesy wedding games and I was very clear about that in the beginning. Dean's games and icebreakers are fun and creative. Everyone was super into them and everyone got super competitive! We ended up with some hilarious wedding photos. I work with a lot of ESL teachers, and several of them mentioned to me that he's like a teacher. He reads the crowd and he knows how to keep them engaged and interested. I've been to a lot of weddings where the guests have no idea what's going on, but our guests were totally engaged the entire time. He also has a vast array of music to choose from. If you're a decisive person like me, he'll play whatever you ask him to. If you're not decisive and rather he choose the music, he will happily do that. He's so good at reading the crowd. I wanted to keep paying him overtime because literally every single guest was on the dance floor by the end of the night, but we were getting kicked out of our venue. Dean also provided our photo booth. The photo booth attendant was so nice and professional despite our super drunken friends and family. He customized the banner on the photo for us, gave us a copy of every picture, and also gave us a copy of the pictures on a CD. His photo booth is really cool because not only does it take pictures but videos, too. There's also a social media function so guests can post their picture to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. I highly, highly recommend Dean for your event! He's the best! read more

Our experience with Ultimate Events and Dean Hall was truly outstanding. Dean definitely wins our award for the best wedding vendor we hired - BY FAR. Every aspect of the experience was great. If you are looking for a wedding DJ, you need to select Dean and Ultimate Events - he made it a PERFECT evening. 1. From the start, Dean helped customize our wedding to be exactly how we wanted it. He provided a list of popular wedding songs from many different genres which was great starting point. He had a TON of suggestions for different types of reception games / ice breakers. We decided not to use some of is suggestions, and he was very receptive to all of our requests. It was immediately clear that he wanted to create the perfect wedding experience. 2. As the wedding date came closer, we had an in-person meeting with Dean at his showroom. Before the meeting, we had provided him a list of about 100 songs that we really liked, and about another 40 songs that we did NOT want to have played. He had already combed through the list, and made notes on his computer about all the songs we had chosen. Some DJs would take offense at telling them specifically which songs you liked and disliked, but Dean's main objective was always to give us the night we wanted, and was happy to work with us. We worked through the timeline of events for the night, and he gave us a ton of great suggestions for songs and different timings for the night. Dean's experience really shined. Make sure you have the in-person meeting :) 3. The day-of, Dean showed up to the venue early, got set up, and immediately started playing music. Throughout the night, he played all the songs we wanted - people were dancing ALL night (about 5 hours). The wedding worked completely seamlessly, and he really knew how to keep the party going! Dean and Ultimate Events was on our venue's vendors list, and we are so happy that we chose him for our wedding DJ! While wedding planning can be stressful, Dean acted as a calming and organized presence during the entire process. I was planning a wedding from across the country and Dean made it easy. As soon as I talked to Dean on the phone -- his expertise and enthusiastic personality showed. When I met with him in his office, he was able to tailor the entire event to our requests to create the atmosphere that catered to our crowd. He patiently spent half an hour changing the colors of his LED uplights until I was happy with the hues. He practically planned my entire reception for me! I did not have a wedding planner! Dean was always very responsive with phone calls and emails. On the wedding day, Dean set up early and made sure my entire wedding party was comfortable with the ceremony and reception procedures. He worked with my venue to pace the processions, and regularly checked in with me to make sure the wedding was going according to schedule while I was busy. It turned out that one of our wedding guests had also used Dean's services for his wedding! While half of the guests at his table didn't show up for the reception, Dean made an effort to go over to say hi and made sure that my guests were happy....all the while great music was playing. We have used Dean for the last two years to DJ and MC our orphan charity event. He has done a great job promoting the silent auction items and program while still keeping the party going by selecting great music for specific moments and for dancing after our program.
