Went to Soap Laundry Lounge while we were passing through San Antonio, and it was awesome! First, the staff was amazing! Everyone was friendly and welcoming. There were plenty of machines, baskets and counters to get all your laundry needs taken care of. We also tried their lavender detergent and dryer balls. Our clothes smelled amazing! We had both of our sons with us, and they enjoyed it as well! There were games to play to keep them entertained while we waited. Finally, the coffee bar! It was so good, we went back the next day to get coffee on our way out of SA. Our sons tried the Creamsicle Italian Sodas and LOVED them. We also had the marzipan latte, banana nut latte and their drip coffee. Excellent! The lattes had great flavor without being too sweet and the drip was very balanced. Also, got a chance to try the campfire brownie, maple bar, strawberry bar and the jalapeño kolache. Seriously, you cannot go wrong. A laundromat and a coffee shop. This is a wonderful idea. You have to hang out and wait for your clothes, so you might as well have a coffee and a pastry. The laundromat looks very modern. The machines are clean and big. There's plenty of space. There's also other activities you could do while waiting. I tried out there summer lemonade Matcha. I could definitely taste the lemonade, but the Matcha was subtle. I had the lemon pistachio bar. Loved it. The barista was very nice and gave us suggestions and what we should get. The only problem will be parking. It is very limited and considering people having to carry loads of laundry, it may not be convenient. read more

Recommend: Yes. It's a unique place to check out. I stopped by SOAP in San Antonio on a Sunday morning, originally just to grab a coffee, and ended up really impressed by the space. This is such a unique concept--a coffee shop inside a laundromat--and it's executed beautifully. The entire place has a clean, modern feel with subtle retro touches that make it warm and inviting. There are plenty of laundry machines, and from what I could tell, they offer larger-capacity machines as well. What stood out most to me was how thoughtfully designed the space is. There are seating areas throughout, making it easy to settle in with a book, catch up on Netflix, or simply relax while waiting for your laundry. Since I visited on a Sunday morning, the atmosphere was especially calm and quiet, which made it a great place to slow down for a bit. The large windows bring in tons of natural light, making the whole space feel bright and open. The coffee shop itself is very cute and has its own seating area with high-top tables and chairs. I ordered the Mexican mocha, which has flavors of Mexican hot chocolate, cinnamon, and a touch of Cayenne pepper. It was ok, though not necessarily my favorite drink. I also tried the banana nut bread, and that was excellent--super moist and flavorful. While I wasn't there to do laundry, I left thinking what a great option this would be if I ever needed it. This is one of the coolest places i've been too! This is a 2 in 1 location with a coffee shop located inside a laundromat! The vibes were so aesthetic I ended up doing a photoshoot with one of my clients inside and it was exactly how I pictured it! A fun fact is that one of the members from Dixie Chicks (Emily Strayer) actually founded SOAP. Overall it's a cool place to get some laundry done and grab a coffee while you're at it, maybe you can even have a study session while you wait! I do recommend getting there between early morning or during school hours as it gets pretty packed on weekends and weekdays after work! read more

What a creative concept! I stopped in for the coffee and was totally surprised at how in awe I was of how beautifully blended this place is! It is extremely clean which I didn't expect being a laundromat. The decor and equipment is like none I have ever witnessed! They have televisions mounted in the walls throughout the building. In addition, the large tables set up as clothes folding area also appear to double as a place to study or work. They have a variety of board games to play while you either enjoy coffee and tea or waiting for your clothes. I ordered my usual go-to, decaf iced vanilla latte and a snickerdoodle which totaled $10 and some change. Both were fairly decent so I'll likely stop by again....especially if I'm going down Oblate which is where it's located. read more

If I had to go to a laundromat, this is where I'd go. I love the concept of a third place being able to do your laundry and grab coffee at the same time is such a win. Plus having a great waiting area where you can get some work done makes it even better. I tried the raspberry mocha and it was really really good. The staff was great too. How am I enjoying a laundromat so much! This environment is so warm and welcoming. I'm sitting here sipping chai latte smiling and enjoying my calm nervous system while my duvet tumbles around. The machines are cashless meaning you need a reloadable SOAP card to make payments. You can add money to the card via cash or credit/debit card. If you need help someone will be by. Also if you register your card and spend enough you can get extra money added (something like that). The washes start at $4 and a 30min dry is $1.50. The coffee bar is a nice perk to this laundromat. I enjoyed a chai latte w/oat milk and a cranberry blondie. Prices were comparable to any coffee shop. They have 2 drink sizes. The barista was very pleasant. Coffee bar closed at 7pm. Overall a great experience. Machines were all working, place was clean, staff was easily found for support, coffee bar had great options, provided games and tv entertainment, and the location was safe! read more

If you want to have fun while doing your laundry, this is your new spot. I'm in the process of moving and don't have a washer and dryer, so I did some research before I decided to stop by here. I've never used a laundromat before, but the staff were happy to walk me through getting set up. You do need to get a laundry card to use their their machines, but it's a simple process with the kiosk. I put my clothes in the washer, ordered a matcha and veggie quiche (thank you for having vegetarian options!!), and was able to get some work done. There's a few TVs on the walls and plenty of seating options from tables at the cafe to counters lined between the machines. Everything is really clean and there's a parking lot with a couple of reserved SOAP spots right at the entrance. Between the laundry and cafe, I definitely spent a little more than I anticipated but it was nice to get the full experience. What really made this place stand out to me was the staff. From the people working the laundry section to the cafe, everyone was so friendly and helpful. I never felt like I was bothering anyone asking questions about the machines or the menu. It definitely leaves an impression that this is more a community-focused space, and I hope the team is appreciated! read more

I had doubts about it when I seen how "busy" it was, worried that we would have to wait but we were proven wrong. The "flow" of it works well and we were able to move quickly and get everything done in a reasonable time. The staff were friendly and helpful. This place runs smoothly because of their employees. For example, someone is always tending the coffee bar, counter, and several employees are on the floor sweeping and wiping down machines. This place is bright with lots of natural like, clean, and spacious. They have two areas for seating as well as sitting stools at the folding counters. Laundry baskets work and roll easily. The coffee bar is a great additive as they serve different types of coffee and baked goods along with the vending machines located towards the back filled with additional snacks, drinks, and washing necessities. All these areas accept the reloadable card you use throughout your time there. In order to sign up for a card just simply go to the kiosk on the wall near the service desk. The signup , loading, and use of the card is very simple. The bathroom is locked with a code so you will need to ask for that, this helps the bathrooms stay so clean. Prices are very reasonable. Flat screen T.V.s are located throughout the facility. Board games are available to keep the young ones busy. The entrance doors are automatic making it easy to carry a load of laundry in. SOAP lounge is the epitome of a luxurious clothing detail experience! When my local hotel's wash and dryer collapsed for the day (or week, not sure!), I rushed to Google to find an alternative and what a solution I found! Whew! I was greeted with an answered early afternoon kiss! When you exit your vehicle, you are met with immaculate glistening glass sliding doors, refreshing aroma in the air, and smiling laundry specialists and/or barista! Just to name one in particular, Priscilla was amazing! She gave me and my daughter a tour and explained the wash/dryer operational features! Best laundry experience ever! Soap keep their machines clean and in tip top shape. Machines are not only clean but also fast and efficient. The coffee shop and extra tables is a plus! I just bring in my lap top and work while doing laundry. The rest rooms are spotless. There are board games, TV, vending machines, and let not forget the coffee shop. I've been to this spot twice while living in SA. Great atmosphere and everybody that works here is extremely sweet. So many awesome things to say about our experience at Soap! First, the atmosphere is incredible. All of the interior design is on point and makes for a comfortable and cozy stay while you sip incredible coffee or hang out and wait for your clothes to finish. They offer folding services, have games for children to play with, multiple tvs and comfortable seating space. The detergent and dryer balls were both great as well! I appreciate the entrepreneurial spirit that made this unique concept a reality, but it really dosn't make sense for me to pay an extra $2 per load compared to the Olmos Park Wash n Fold just 5 minutes down the street.
