It was very clean and all things functioned well at this location. The machines are a bit over priced. I was just happy to use coins vs buy a card and then load it just to use the machines. Come here because it's the closest laundry mat to my house. Plenty of machines, bathrooms , TVs and even has a table to sit at. My only complaint would b every time I come here I never have once seen the attendant Wiping down the handles on the washers or dryers. With COVID being rampant at this time. U would think that extra cleaning would b a priority. If the owners would take precautions and clean this facility that hundreds of people come in and out of on a daily basis better I would've given a better rating. I walked in on my last visit without a mask to see if she would tell me anything and all she was keep talking on the phone. And all the while she wasn't wearing a mask !! read more

As a woman, I'm already going to feel anxious about being in a place alone. When I first arrived, it was fine but the washing cycle is $6.50 and I was not expecting that. The dryer is $1 for about 13 mins so I went ahead and did 18 mins for $2.... I ran out of quarters after doing two wash cycles and one dry cycle and nothing was dry. I would have gone to get more change but the man working there made me very uncomfortable. Being alone in a laundromat and he decides to sweep RIGHT BY MY FEET is very unprofessional and uncomfortable. At first I noticed he was changing the trash cans, nothing strange and then he started dusting the dryer by me but after a while I noticed he only started to clean /dust items around me and getting very close. Hope these type of men can get some self awareness when they're around younger women.. i wouldn't have been uncomfortable if he didn't keep sweeping and dusting right where I was standing and my items. ( less than a foot away I kid you not) please hold your employees accountable. read more

The facility is clean and my comforter is looking great. I arrived at the facility right after opening and had the place to myself until the last 10 minutes of my dry time. The newer Speed Queen machines work great and I like that the machines give you the option to add extras such as a rinse or a heavy clean for additional money. I love finding a clean and well organized Laundromat. Although I didn't see many attendants, it was very well kept and tidy. It's cash only, so be prepared to walk to CVS or bring cash to get coins on their coin machine. Regardless of that inconvenience, I still give this place a 5 star because the place is clean and well kept and thats the most important thing to me when it comes to the laundromat. read more

***UPDATE*** I'm lowering my star rating to 2 because Aqua Star has been neglecting to keep the washing machines operational. I'd say, conservatively, 80% of the white front-loading washers do not work. Additionally, it's becoming more of a challenge to get a dryer as more and more of them are inoperable, too. ORIGINAL REVIEW Going to a Laundromat is like getting a colonoscopy - you know it's something that has to be done so all you're hoping for is to get in and out with as little discomfort as possible. Fortunately, Aquastar Laundry does a fantastic job of turning an otherwise traumatic experience into something you just might not hate so much if you're required to do it again - unlike the colonoscopy! We've all been there - that tired, old, broken-down Laundromat that has you questioning whether your clothes will be cleaner coming out than they were going in. Upon entering Aquastar you feel a rush of relief as you take in all the shiny brushed aluminum machines, the sparkling floor tiles, laundry carts efficiently stowed in neat rows in the corner, flat-screen TVs tuned to the afternoon variety talk programs, and bathrooms that have you thinking, "You know - there's no place like home but I might just be able to make a deposit here, if I have to." Alright, so here's what Aquastar offers their patrons... First, and foremost for me, they offer a facility that does not evoke an urge to be immunized. Second, they offer working washers and dryers, each in two sizes: large and extra large. The large washers will run you $2.25 for a 29 minute wash while the XL washer is $4.25. The dryers will run you 50¢ per 8 minutes. Third, FREE WiFi. Fourth, a variety of vending machines for the requisite sundry items, plus vending machines for sodas and snacks - even ice cream. And lastly, an on-duty employee that keeps this place is tip-top condition. Some other items to mention just in closing are the tables, massage chair, and location. The tables are all two-tiered with the smaller of the two overhanging the larger bottom table. At each end of the table are shaped metal rods for hanging clothing. All the tables appeared very clean and free of dirt, and lint. Next, yep, they have a massage chair and you can shiatsu your sore back for 3 coma-inducing minutes for just 8 bits! Or, should you be requiring something stronger, there's a Chinese Massage parlor just a few doors down. Lastly, location. Just inside the loop at Hwy 410 and Culebra, just past the CVS, on the right. There's a burger joint in the same strip should the mood strike. The fact is, Laundromats are a necessary evil for many people. The existence of one that doesn't drive you to refund your most recent meal is like finding an oasis in the desert. And despite the prices being a tad more expensive and a bit farther away, this will be my go-to facility for the forseeable futur read more

Nice clean and quiet laundromat. Came on a Saturday late afternoon. Plenty of clean machines, nice big facility. I haven't been to a laundromat in years so I'm not sure if price points are average. $5.50 to wash in the big machines, at least $.50 to dry for a few minutes. Came to wash a stubborn heavy comforter. I will come here again. Not sketchy at all, felt comfortable here. Lots of snack machines. read more

Front loading washers have mildew smell and you can clearly see through the glass the buildup of god knows what. A lot of the top loaders are out of order. Dryers are 50 cents that only gives 6 minutes and 3.25 for washer. There's parking around back and the place is normally clean except the washers I mentioned. read more

This is a very nice and clean facility. The machines work well and a very reasonable price. They do have a full time attendant that can help you with your needs if you do encounter a problem. I go there when I have large loads of laundry because it saves me time and utilities at home. They have plenty of folding tables and baskets for your laundry. I will be coming back often. read more

This is a decent place. 3 different sizes for wash. Plus the home white top loading machine. There are tvs, snacks machines and a worker present. Closes at 10 pm. Most other places have last wash at 730pm. So I like this. Only cash for quarters. No cards. read more

This is my go to laundromat! It's clean and accommodates my big items or I should say heavy duty laundry! They've actually have 3, 5, 6 loads capacity machines! This is a really clean and nice laundry mat. I've been to Kwik Wash Laundry on Bandera Rd and another at Grissom. Both were horrible. The Bandera Rd one ruined my comforter because they don't keep their machines clean and the Grissom one was just plain gross. This laundry mat is waaaaay better! The parking up front is scarce, but there's more parking in the back of the building. read more

I really like the fact that this place was clean and the older woman working seemed very attentive but I'm here to do laundry and in rating it as such I was not very happy. Carts for transporting clothes are limited and dryers, my goodness, every other one was broken. The air was not on and needless to say I lost weight while doing laundry so I guess I killed two birds with one stone. I'd recommend doing laundry on a week day or be prepared to fight for dryer time. read more

Hands down one of the cleanest laundry mats I've been to. We checked out a couple others, but left because they weren't very clean (washers smelled like mildew, lint everywhere, folding areas filled with trash, etc). My first/ last visit today, Male manager rolled his eyes at me, the coin release to get my money back didn't work. He rolled his eyes at me and told me there was nothing that he can do gave me back $0.75, he walked away. I left the $0.75 on the counter, told him to put that towards customer service. Won't be doing laundry here again. My usual laundromat was closed today being it is 4th of July. Aqua Star is way overpriced. AC sucks. It was hot in there. $3 for the regular white top load washers and the silver front loaders. Price goes to $4.25 for the larger silver front loaders.
