Since we were new clients, the massage was supposed to be $10 off. That means the total should have been $169 plus a 20% tip ($33.80), which equals $202.80. Instead, they charged my card $214.00. The manager, Wendy, knew my husband was a new client because (1) he had never been there before, and (2) I had called ahead to confirm the new client discount and asked about the $10 off. Despite that, she charged the full amount plus the tip and never applied the discount. Wendy only refunded me after I posted this review--and even then, she called and texted my husband asking that I remove it multiple times, continuing to harass us even after I told her I would take the review down. I do believe this was stealing. Wendy is the manager and should know how to correctly process a new client discount. Instead, she knowingly charged my card more than authorized, including a 20% fee I never signed paperwork for or agreed to. I wasn't even present at the time, so the only authorization she had from me was for the $169 new client rate. Being pressured for two days straight to delete a review after money was wrongly taken from my account is unprofessional, unethical, and unacceptable.

Before each session, she asks a series of questions and offers advice on other remedies that could help outside of massage. I've had ongoing lower back issues ranging from pinched nerves to offset hips and herniated discs. Each and every time I go in, I come out feeling like a million bucks. Unlike many other massage therapists I've seen, she ensures that she is treating the areas that you need and want to be treated. I've even had therapists tell me that they "don't think that area needs to be addressed". She is well educated on many different areas which I feel has helped me tremendously in being able to help with the pain during the day to day. I recently have had an exorbitant am isn't of pain in the lower right aide of my back. She had explained that particular muscle reaches around into the stomach and had me roll over and massaged a muscle in my hip. I was shocked t0 see the difference it made and so incredibly thankful for her knowledge in that. The studio is a little hidden back off 7th in Oregon City, across from Mike'z Drive in and adjacent to Zion Lutheran Church. The space is always super clean and cozy and she keeps the temperature just right. Every little detail is thought out from the soothing music to having water available accompanied by mints. Since seeing Rachel, I've been to a couple other massage studios while on vacation and to have a last minute couples massage and I will never go anywhere else now. Give her a shot.
