The local Walmart is a cheaper option for canned and frozen goods, I do my shopping there whenever possible. Overall, a very poor place to shop, management can't be counted on for anything.

Yeah, that's kind of a neutral report, we know. But it is a grocery, albeit one we've found to be well stocked with a lot of products, reasonably priced, clean, and with helpful employees. In so many words, not a bad place at all to stop when you need groceries. We especially liked the takeout foods at this Sobey's, tasty and convenient. So there.

While she was inside I noticed a window at the far end of the building with a sign that simply read "TAKE OUT ONLY". I thought if I went to the window, she would come out with a second order of whatever they had. We she emerged with chips and cookies. I asked about the take out and she said there was nothing inside and she purposely looked for ready to eat food. I was delighted when the lady at the window said she sold fried chicken and potato wedges. I thought a 6 piece would fill us up and was surprised with the size and quality. Particularly after a recent bad super oily bucket from KFC. The chicken here was large breast, thigh and legs. We sat in the parking lot until it was all gone. I'll be sure to drop in again to this hidden little gem of a Take out.

This Sobey is located up on the hill close to Costco. I was surprise this Sobey is called 'Extra' and was not sure why. When I walked in i was pleasantly surprise to see how big this Sobey really was! They have a huge variety of food! There are a good mix of asian selection like sushi, noodle soup, and fried asian dishes. On the western side, they got chicken, ribs, beef, pot pies, Salad, soup, pizza and most of them are hot and ready! The cool part of this place is that they have courses for Cooking! they have a nice set up for a class room setting of 15 people or more. Today I felt like their chicken, hot meal, and salad meal for $18.99. Not a bad deal, it will definitely feed 3 people comfortably. For the hot meal i got their mac & cheese and slaw for the salad. Mac & cheese was very creamy and good. Chicken was perfectly done. Slaw was refreshing.

It was 12:45 and the whole section of the store seemed empty of staff. The associate came back to the counter and there was only one other customer who seemed to be browsing the selections. I said, " I have a quick question " Do you have any sushi mats?" Her counter was just opposite a sushi supply section I had already searched. Despite this she said an abrupt "I don't know but she was here first" in a rude way. I was just looking to have a question answered and didn't think I should wait through a whole slicing meat order first. This person is not an asset to your business but you need to train your staff better and have a policy of asking staff to contact a floor person to come and help when necessary rather than rudely brushing them off. I left the store angry and highly doubt I will be back despite holding credit and loyalty cards from Superstore.

I dunno, but congratulations you nailed it. These women do not greet you, they make you feel like going to their register is a horrible thing to do to them. They are nasty about bagging your groceries, and are never polite and friendly when you leave. I understand it is hard to keep staff, but i would rather deal with a robot than these nasty wenches
