Fine dining in Sevilla that lives up to the many accolades and Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition it has received. Fantastic food, service and atmosphere for a fine dining experience that was memorable and worth the spend. Our party of four had the tasting menu which the kitchen was more than willing to alter to accommodate food allergies in our party. With allergies to nuts, dairy, eggs and shellfish, the servers did not even flinch at making changes. High marks for service just for that detail. Throughout the meal, each dish was introduced with the accommodations made to meet dietary restrictions and everyone had the full 8 courses. Bread service also kept up nicely with our courses. Favorite courses were the leek stuffed with brandade cod, shellfish soup, and sea bass with pumpkin and orange. The artichoke with Iberian ham foam was quite inventive and tasty as well.
We considered the a la carte menu, but the tasting menu was appealing. It was €70 each (quite pricey for food in Sevilla) but still a great value when compared to similar quality places in the US and other parts of EU. To us, it was a no brainer to try what Chef Camilla Ferraro had in mind.
We also had a wine pairing and the sommelier did a tremendous job describing what he was pouring and providing information about the wine. He was more than willing to a level deeper when questions arose. The wine was well chosen to pair with the courses. Most of the wines poured were Spanish wines, true to the inspiration for the menu. Great job on wine service too.
The atmosphere was comfortably casual for a high end place. No stuffiness at all and the servers were in comfortable, yet smart dress. Tables had plenty of space for private conversations and the overall noise level was low.
