I had an extremely disappointing experience with Brian's PPF work on my 2025 Ducati Monster Plus. I went to him to get my motorcycle fully protected but the installation quality was so poor as it affected every single area that he covered and ultimately had to be completely removed and redone by another shop at my own expense. The install had multiple issues including poor edge adhesion/lifting, visible trapped moisture or air pockets, uneven fitment and alignment, but he just blamed it on not having the right templates, which I was told is only pushed by Xpel for warranty purposes and that it should not affect a technician's ability to apply the film without templates. As a result, the entire job had to be redone from scratch. What made the situation worse was how it was handled afterward. Instead of taking full responsibility, I was only offered a partial refund. It also took nearly two weeks of back-and-forth communication to even reach that partial resolution. In the end, I paid twice, once for the original job and again to have it properly done. I would absolutely not recommend this service based on my experience, especially if you have a high-end vehicle! read more

Especially because when I didn't see any tipping thing and asked about it- she straight up said "i dont like showing it to the customers, so i usually dont let them see it". All of this happened well within the year warranty and I showed dated pictures in court as well as you visibly seeing my vehicle in person. Paint was never the issue as I showed proof of that as well. You lost in small claims TWICE and rightfully owe me a refund. You acknowledged and stated you would pay in the email (attached). You know this is not right and it is now court ordered that you refund what I paid for the wrap. *PSA* Fair warning to take your business elsewhere, this man will not honor warranty and still neglect to pay if you take legal steps to rectify the situation. SoCal Tint Shop is great. I missed my first appointment, felt extremely bad, but they were so kind about it. We rescheduled and everything went so smoothly. Dropped my vehicle off at 9 and was done by noon. All windows tinted on my Ford Maverick and it looks amazing. No pressure sales tactics or anything. Don't walk, run from this business. Went in for front wind shield and driver/passenger window tint. Went with what was recommended, and I don't think the product is the issue. It's the workmanship. Side windows had ripples and bubbles, and the windshield. Waited the requested 2 weeks to see if the problem would resolve itself. It didn't. Returned to have all 3 windows redone. Looked exactly the same as the 1st tint job. Same ripples in tint, same bubbles. It was found to be a bad roll of film. Explains the ripples, not the bubbling. Return and have the side windows redone and an upgraded front windshield tint. Side windows are decent if you ignore the small bubbles. During this process on our brand new off the lot vehicle, our center console clock was smudged with something. Took a few months for the owner to get this replaced. The front wind shield 3rd tint application has 2 huge scratches on the passenger side. The owner noted he would have corrected mid-October. We are nearing the end of December, and I'm over chasing them down. The Tint job started in June 2023. Still not properly completed December 2023. The owner is kind and does make attempts to correct his employees' blunders. He is too busy to see things through Tull completion. This leads to delays in communication, missed commited to dates. Workmanship is the issue here. The quality control of checking work upon completion is severely lacking. I urge all past customers to inspect your tint. You will find issues, whether they be small bubbles, lint trapped between glass and tint. You will find something. If you are debating coming here, don't. Whilebthe front end service is nice, the workmanship just isn't there. You can keep going back at the cost of your time. It still won't be resolved. You will need to accept the flaws or just somewhere else. I was patient and made many trips back. Gave several opportunities for correction. I am stuck with a mediocre install that needs to be removed and redone. I have text messages detailing all of this going back and forth of getting work redone. Delays. Etc. I've left out some details but can say if you experience issues, work with Brian, the owner only, no one else. read more

I paid $4,000 for the services. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. After receiving my car back from the shop, I scheduled a post-inspection for a few weeks later. During the first week, I noticed a distortion on my front windshield. I went back to the shop and notified them about the distortion. The front desk lady said they would check and redo the front tint but didn't have time that day, so I had to reschedule. When I went in for the rescheduled appointment, they inspected the windshield and claimed the distortion was due to an issue with my glass, not their tint. This was strange since all other windows were fine, and I don't know if my front windshield glass is really defective or not. I will schedule an appointment with Tesla to verify this issue and will update the review once I hear back from them. During this visit, I also asked why my emblem hadn't been reattached during the post-inspection process. The front desk lady blamed me for not informing her when I came in, even though I was told reattaching the emblem was part of the post-inspection process. I then scheduled another appointment to have the front window tint removed due to the distortion. When I went in for the removal, I noticed the "dual motor" emblem was missing. Upon asking, they informed me it had broken during the removal process. There were no apologies or attempts to rectify the situation. Overall, I am quite disappointed with both the quality of service and the customer service. The lack of communication and accountability has left a negative impression. Now, I'm left with a car that has no front tint and is missing an emblem. I hope others have a better experience, but I cannot recommend this shop based on my visit. Watch out!! Owner does not follow thru their commitment. The owner reached out to me a few days after providing me with a quote. I told the owner that I have already selected a vendor and that I already have an appointment with them. I told the owner, Marcy, that i went with this vendor because they are slightly cheaper. The owner then asked if Iam willing to cancel my appt with that vendor and go with them if she price match their quote. I told her I would and she set up my apt for the 20th. I then asked if she can send me a txt or an email with the statement of work along with our agreed upon price but she refused. I told her that I just wanted everything we discussed in writing. She told me that they dont do that and that they can only send apt confirmation. I was a bit concerned that she was not willing to send me a wrtten statement of work but I just ignored it thinking that i could trust her. Several days later, 6/14, I received a txt and a yelp notification that my appointment have been cancelled without any reasons. I immediately reached out to Marcy both on yelp and on txt asking the reason for the cancellation but never got a response. Waited for several days thinking maybe there was a valid reason for the cancellation, but still no response. In a way, i was grateful this happened. I do not think I can trust a business that flakes out of their commitment/word. I do not think I can trust this place to honor their work warranty if they cant even honor their word. read more

Socal Tint are an authorized vendor because they are able to attract more business because they do a good job with the installation and provide exceptional customer service. Also, keep in mind that only a few tint shops knows how to put on tint on the sunroof. I read reviews that some tints can be too hot and that will cause the sunroof glass to shatters. However with XPEL tint, they are able to handle the heat and also black out over 98% of heat. It also blocks UV rays as well. Marcy was very knowledgeable in helping decide what color tint to select for each glass. She was very detailed and held my hand every step of the way. I was so pleased in speaking with her and she was always quick on getting back to me. Brian was the other owner who overseas the installation. He made sure all my glass were cleaned and made sure he inspected all my glass to make sure it was installed correctly. I dropped off my car at 11 am and got my car back at 4 pm. I inspected all the windows and was so pleased with the results. Tint had no bubbles and installed precisely on each windows. Brian also inspected my car to make sure there wasn't any issues on my vehicles. I was very impressed with his professionalism and going out of his way to help me since I'm a new Tesla owner.
