I requested a quote for a complete tint on my vehicle (all windows even though the rear of my vehicle had dark coating from factory) and was given the option to tint just the two front windows to match the rear. First, let me mention that I've been a customer of Steve's Auto tint for over 20 years. Steve has always treated me well and with respect. This review is not intended for him. My tint issue: Window tint had a hazy white discoloration and looked foggy from the inside. This review is for MANNY. He lied to my face about not having an appointment. He told me that I didn't have an appointment and i would have to come back on another day. (I drove all the way from Beaumont which is about an hr away). He told me I had to decide with either coming back on another day or leave the car until 6pm, so he can complete the warranty job. He said, I was getting the short end of the stick because I didn't have an appointment and the other people that were arriving did. He was pretty much brushing me off and saying get out of here I'm busy. So, I was there from 10:30am to 2:30pm waiting for someone to pick me up. I left at 230pm to go to dinner with my family. I get a text at 5:15 saying the car was ready. I came back to pick it up and it was done. My experience overall was terrible because of the communication or deceit I received from Manny. Dont lie to a customer about not having an appointment, so you can brush him aside to take care of other customers. In the end, my tint was replaced. Will I go back to Steve's, I'm not entirely sure. I will only do any business with Steve if I ever do. For this experience, I give it a 1 star for Manny. read more

I've been coming here for over 10 years and I've always recommended this place to everyone. Unfortunately, my last experience has left me wondering if things are changing for the worse. Manuel's first attempt had roller damaged, the second came out hazy, and as I'm writing this I can see a subtle scratch across the center. Manny said the hazy look is due to the windshield being a different material than the sides. After speaking to Steve, he recommended 50% for the wind shield for clarity. It SURE would have been nice if Manny had made this recommendation and if he would have mentioned that the front would not look the same as the sides. Now I'm being charged another $200 for a redo. I'm getting the vibe that this place doesn't care to keep my business anymore. Manuel's customer service is not good. He told me to show up at the shop so he could look at the wind shield, then played dumb and proposed that I go to Steve's other shop to complete the redo (over an hour away in San Juan) - what a jerk move to do. The tint we have is Llumar has excellent warranty and keeps heat out nicely. Warranty covered today's removal and installation of new tint. He took his last Audi here years ago. The cash price to tint all the windows (including going over the factory tint to make it darker) was $560. I thought this was a fair price for an SUV. The quality of work done was absolutely bad. I had Steve tint my rear taillight and the upper portion of the windshield. The twilight tint had began lifting on the edges as seen in the pictures. He had also cut my taillight when trying to cut the film. If you don't want to damage your car, I do not recommend coming here. I did not bother reaching out because I don't want to damage my car anymore than it already is. Someone shouldn't advertise service if they are not able to provide it. read more
