Jon was great! Quick responses with any questions I had. Arrived on time, and did an excellent job! I'm really glad I hired him, in addition to my photo booth. It just added that little extra something that the party needed. My guests were excited to have their pictures drawn, and Jon was very friendly and engaging. He even stayed a little bit over his time to finish up some guests that requested a drawing later in the evening. I really appreciated that! I almost forgot to mention something cool he did. My nephews' girlfriend couldn't make it to the event, so he showed Jon a photo of her, and Jon drew them together, as if she was there. That was awesome! I hired Socal Toons for a private school prom with about 110 attendees. John brought two people, was easily accommodated with one table and chairs and everyone had a blast. I HIGHLY recommend SoCal Toons (John Abelardo) for your event! He is very quick in communication (email and phone) and highly professional. I think the biggest thing that stood out to me with John is that he is flexible and easy to work with, especially given that we hired him for our wedding which is not a straightforward or simple event (so much going on with guests moving around and all the events that go on like speeches, dancing, etc). John really took it upon himself to take a lot of planning off my hands, which really is a stress and time saver for weddings. For instance, he asked for our wedding coordinator's number and called her the day before and worked out logistics like where to enter, etc. Since it was a large wedding, we had to hire another caricature artist and John actually coordinated with the other artist completely so the drawing papers would match so I didn't have to worry or do a thing. Talk about going above and beyond! Aside from him being an easy vendor to work with, we also had him draw a logo of us. He was very accommodating and receptive throughout the various drafts of the illustration and we were so happy with the end product! Also, we had several guests come up to us to tell us that their drawings resembled what they looked like and that John was very nice throughout the night. Lastly, in case you need more convincing, John's rates are very reasonable and he will work with your budget. Jon Abelardo has a great smile and loves to draw! He is excellent at it too! I had my wedding on May 8th 2015 and We had Jon draw our guests a caricature! It was so much fun we hired him for extra hours to get all of our guests a caricature! It was a hit! We actually knew about him from a music concert he drew at a year before. We remembered him because I had framed our caricature with his contact on there. He was easy going and great to keep drawing after only been scheduled for two hours!
