The facility is amazing with so much to offer, including daycare! They even allow you early access to the facility an hour before business is open, and late access until midnight, even though the main part of the facility closes at 9pm. With a member key card you can continue to work out on the machines, track, and free weights until Midnight. They have a plethora of classes going all the time including spin class, Pilates, and my absolute favorite workout... Cardio Drumming!!! Mostly I have been using the Pool and have made some great friends with regulars. If I do nothing else, I at least do the pool. There is a 4 lane lap pool, a therapy pool, and a large hot tub. They even have water aerobics classes. There is literally something her for everyone! The atmosphere is chill and inviting with a sense of acceptance for everyone. I have seen people using walkers, canes, and wheelchairs to navigate the facility, and the services provided, and... that includes the pool area. They are very equipped for disabilities and special needs of all types. The cost of Membership is right on point for what they offer. Did I mention there's a complementary coffee and tea bar, dining area, and they even have nutritious meals you can opt to purchase. No cash on hand - no problems you can add it to your tab.

Crossfit Elkhart has a super supportive and nurturing atmosphere. Turns out I'm pretty competitive and that is also supported by the members and coaches from being encouraged to do competitions or just trying to beat your workout buddies. Everyone is positive and will go out of their way to help. The community at Crossfit Elkhart is very family like and it is amazing how quickly strangers turn into close friends. We celebrate milestones and holidays as well as having a group of people available to hang out with outside of the gym. At first I loved coming here two years ago before it became really popular in the area. But the…read moreproblem now with this location is that there's so many people. I feel like I have to book classes a week in advance and then cancel last minute because something comes up. The class times really are not conducive to people who work 8-5's--which is so frustrating. Each time I go the class is completely full. It's obnoxious working out w someone less than a foot away from you. When you're rotating from weights to the rowers and back you're never really sure if you're sitting in a puddle of sanitizer (which I imagine isn't great for you) or a puddle of someone else's butt sweat (which I imagine is even worse for you). There's so many people that there's not enough time for the sanitizer to dry between rotations. I watch my heart rate go up on the rower not cause my workout is so great but because I'm uncomfortable about the fact I'm sitting on sanitizer. I talk with friends who live in different cities where class sizes aren't completely full. And they have a completely different experience. If their station is 5 on the treadmill, it's also 5 for the weights and rower and they're the only one using that station the entire duration of the class. If you don't get to the class super early, the treadmills are all taken. And I find I get the best workout when I start with the treadmill. It makes me so sad that I had to cancel my membership. I used to feel so refreshed and energized after workouts. (I question if I ever even really worked out before an orange theory class) but recently I've just been overwhelmingly annoyed. Adding fuel to my fire, I purchased a heart rate monitor and it's never once worked properly. I kept holding on to my membership to try and recover my $100 or whatever I spent but it's just really not worth it.

They do not yell at you or make u feel bad in any way. You clean always work at your place and do as you can. Ther is no judgements only encouragement. I have completed week 2 with 5 classes in a row and now I enter a 2 day brake due to scheduling. I have been out of the gym for 3 years and I can all ready feel improvement. The heart rate monitor is extremely helpful to let you know where you are and when you need to speed it up or slow down to stay at the optimal heart to rate burning zone. I have worked out on my own and another large local gym and this is the best work out I've had in years. This gym is also extremely Clean!! The last thing you want is a dirty smelly gym. It has been extremely humid lately and it could be cooler and an additional dehumidifier could be added. It does affect breathing. You can go for one free class your always welcome to try!! I have taken yoga flow with Kimmie (one of the owners) and I hate yoga. Her class was the first yoga class I have ever enjoyed! Jackie (also one of the owners) really makes me feel empowered as a woman! She constantly reminds us that we are beautiful; we are strong I have taken her Zumba toning class and tried out barre with her and wow! I had never thought that taking a class would make me more sore than lifting weights!! Angelica teaches Strong Zumba and she was actually my very first Zumba instructor years ago so I was so happy to see her! I have never had a workout with her that I was not sweating profusely. Heather teaches Zumba toning and turbo kick and I love her. I actually came to the studio because of her. I have lost 30 lbs since last August and I give her lots of credit for it. I hated working out but took her class at Knollwood country club and was hooked. No longer was I dragging my feet to do a workout! I actually look forward every day for my next class! Who knew that working out is so fun??? I really suggest trying a class or two here. Heck get that unlimited monthly deal because once you start going you are going to fall in love with all the ladies there! No one there to judge so do not worry if you have no "experience". Most importantly these workouts are so fun and even though it kicks your butt every class!
