They apparently stuck something into my 10 oz tube of toothpaste so that I had to throw it away when I got home. The TSA agents went through my dirty underwear bag because it was opened when I got home! My two piece bathing suits were not in the same place where I packed them when I opened the bag when I got home! As I went through the security check with my mother in a wheelchair and my 72 year old husband, the 8 TSA agents were swarming us and our luggage. My mother felt very uneasy with that amount of people surrounding us as we went through! They took my toiletries out of my carry on bag along with my air cleaner! They didn't ask me to take them out! I was horrified that they were digging into my well packed carry on. This airport gets four flights a day in and out. Why are there 8 TSA agents swarming innocent passengers and digging in their suitcases? A thorough investigation of hiring practices in Brunswick, Georgia needs to begin. These TSA agents don't have enough to do if 8 are positioned per person!!!

There is kind of a median strip in the middle of the street, where the tree lives. It has a plaque and a small sign. The lore is that Native American lovers "met under the tree." Hmmm... and then what? Ate pizza? Anyway, it's a beautiful old majestic tree, with a trunk diameter of 13 feet!!!! Worth a look-see, and a photo. It's a lot more public now than it once was, but you could probably eat some pizza under it with your sweetheart.

Downtown has a distillery, brewery, local artisan shops and boutiques plus a few eateries. Local landmarks include Lover's Oak, Historic downtown buildings, and the Marshes of Glynn. Beautiful natural and scenic landscape invites jogging and walking with paths and areas such as the Sidney Lanier Bridge, the Old Town Brunswick National Historic District, and Mary Ross Waterfront Park. With moderate temperatures, our great outdoors offers the year round pleasures of kayaking, sailing, surfboarding, volleyball, and swimming. This is not the original Plantation house, this is referred to as the Huston House (second owners) Plantation was a Huge Rice Plantation owned by Major Pierce Butler, one of the founding fathers of USA. When he died property was handed down to his unwed daughter Frances Butler, over 436 Slaves sold in 1859 and this was considered the largest slave sale in American History. During Civil War, the plantation was abandoned. After Civil war attempts made to revive and reconstruct the plantation but it never happened. Sold in 1926 to Tillinghast Huston and turned into a Lettuce & Dairy Farm. Now it's owned and ran by State of Georgia Natural Resources. Free for use, you can walk around, picnic, and enjoy the area, even fish here!!
