The Hialeah Gardens office staff are very rude, disrespectful and lazy. They screamed at people like we are prisoners or in Cuba going to a communist government office. This Cubans working there needs to understand that they are in the United States where people have rights and worked all their life to get good and professional service when is needed at the social security office. The security guards screamed at people like we are idiots. The don't want to accept walk ins when other social security locations do accept walk ins. I was told by the social security young man that assist me with my visit at the window that I wasted social security time by going there with an appointment to talk about my situation when I was told to go there in person which the social security representative over the phone gave me an appointment. It's a shame that the social security administration allows this type of behavior having representatives treating people like animals and paying these lazy people a paycheck from our tax money. They all need to take a behavior training or fired. No one deserves to be treated like that. In the end of June 2026 I went to this office to solve a problem with my Social Security payments. The agent I was speaking with was very nice, knowledgeable and patient - his name was Damian. I am very glad that people like him work with population and make a visit to Social Security office a pleasure. He promised that my problem will be solved this week and I am sure he will make it happen as he appears very dedicated to his work. I would like to just say that today June 4th 2026 I had the pleasure of speaking with a gentleman by the name of Damiah out of the social security office in Hialeah Florida. This young man was very kind, knowledgeable, patient, listened with the purpose of trying to help me in answering my questions as best he could and never spoke over me, or lead me in a direction that would have freed him up to end the call. In my opinion and knowing how hard any customer service job is whether you have a nice call or a call where the person on the other end is frustrated or rude. Damian helped explain how things work and broke down the difference of SSI & SSA per mail I received and showed not frustration. Thank you Damiah as I asked him how I could honor him by sending tjis post...he did not ask me to ...I insisted because as a former worker in the area of customer service it is difficult and many people do not HEAR with the purpose of helping and understanding the customer/patient and talk over you...Damian did not do this and I am grateful and wish him the best. The place is a bit hectic, a very huge waiting room full of people. It can be a very long wait. When I asked the security guard at what time do they open, he just pointed to the door which had the hours written on the outside (backwards for people inside)--boy was he rude, and lazy. They are rude, and unprofessional The Social Security Office hired they from Triple Canopy Which obviously have not provide them with training on how to dealing with people. This review will shock some of you but I had a very pleasant experience. Starting with the security guards who checked me in (very nice and respectful to everyone) to the lady I spoke with inside the office (I neglected to ask what her name was...window #5). She was very personable and answered all my questions. Obviously, and I was ready for it, the wait was about an hour but thankfully, the weather was nice, cool and overcast. Despite the wait time outside, I have no complaints. I went on Tuesday January the 11th at 10:15am, checked in at 10:00am and was seen at approximately 11:00am. It's by appointment only during these COVID times so make sure you make an appointment before showing up, and prepare to wait. read more
