I came in today hoping to retrieve it, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. I completely understand that putting it in the drop box was my mistake. However, since it had been there less than a day, I was surprised to hear it was not in the lost and found, especially after being told that items like that are normally placed behind the desk. Unfortunately, it seems the book may have been taken instead. What upset me most was the lack of concern from the staff member helping me. When I asked if I could leave my name in case the book turned up, she walked away before I even finished speaking. A little empathy or willingness to help would have gone a long way. Mistakes happen, but the complete lack of accountability or concern is what guarantees I won't be returning.

My daughter absolutely loves going, getting her stickers and finding books and music. The librarians, while sticklers for proper decorum, rules, and lovely quiet, are kind, patient, and good with remembering names and faces. This location, part of the fine Anne Arundel County system, features a decent selection of hardcover and paperback fiction, nonfiction, etc. They have a large and well-displayed kids section featuring books, DVDs, and music. They have 10 computers for the internet. The layout of the interior is nice, open, and very bright due to high windows in the atrium. Check it out!

Local historical groups I've put much effort into restoring maintaining and, presenting this place in for visitors interested in colonial era history. Londontown was created in part, to tax and regulate the tobacco trade of the era - a significant source of revenue for the local government. The plat contains what was in its day an opulent tavern built by William Brown; a carpenters shop; and a tidewater tenement surrounded by modern buildings including a museum. No doubt it's difficult to find and reconstruct these revolutionary era buildings and sites today. But worth a visit if you happen to be in the area is exit 49 off of I 95 in the state of Georgia at the town of Darien is a complete reconstruction of the revolutionary British fort called Fort King George. A number of publications presenting the history and use of colonial era tools, medicines, and other interesting items can be found at this location.

I had an appointment and quickly checked in, sat down, and waited for my number to be called. After just a few minutes past my appointment time my number was called. I had hoped I had all the right paperwork as I had a handful of items that I needed help with. Enter Josie, the lady who helped me. She was very helpful and friendly and when I asked for help with all of my issues, I anxiously waited to be told that I would need to come back. Well, I was wrong ago. Josie responded to each of requests and quickly resolved each issue. She was just so nice! I walked away with a renewed sense of respect for the MVA thanks to Josie.

The memorial is in Annapolis, because it commemorates the places of arrival of Kunta Kinte as an enslaved person on America's shores. The memorial claims to be the only memorial in the United States that commemorates the actual name and place of arrival of an enslaved African (I'm not sure when this was written or whether it's still true, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is). The memorial consists of three parts: a sculpture group that includes a seated Alex Haley reading to three children, a compass rose, and a Story Wall with 10 bronze engraved plaques. If you are in Annapolis and walking around this area, definitely stop and check out the memorial. It's a special spot in downtown historic Annapolis.
