Even more of a throwback was to see actual lifeguards on duty. There was even a snow cone vendor nearby. For a second I thought I was imagining myself in an 80s flick and waited for John Cusack to float by me on an inner tube... must have been the triple digit heat that day. Anyway, Chico continues to throw a surprise at me every time I visit and explore around. One Mile is a gem and I'm grateful to my friend for introducing it to me. Next time I'm bringing a picnic for sure. Check it out!

I will say that i do recommend an appt for the DMV. The new DMV is well designed and roomy. It's better than the old DMV that was gloomy and no bathrooms for people. Lastly, i was in and out of the DMV in 20 minutes!!!!! So why not 5 stars? Two reasons: Granted I do not know the DMV dress code, but the employees seem to dress to casual for there job. Employees were wearing blue jeans.. and personally i kinda feel that since its professional place they should be wearing something a little nicer. The second thing, the guy that was taking pictures for drivers license that day( Jan 23) could have been nicer. He was didn't tell me he was taking my picture and just took one without telling me and he just didn't seem like he wanted to be there.

All of the staff is super friendly and I would love to give a shout out to Bob and Jerry Who helped me. They originally and made the third time of going back to get my DOT medical certificate submitted. Usually when you have to go back somewhere three times you're just annoyed and they made it refreshing as if it was the first time I had to go there. Good job for everybody at Chico highly recommend this place if you have to visit the DMV at all. I made an appointment for the first day and then the second and third time I had to return I didn't have to wait very long they're very quick and efficient and they're always willing to help you with a smile which is really really appreciated. Kindness goes along way and these guys strive to show it.
