The other room featured educational history, medical history, fire and police history along with appropriate displays for each era. The neatest part was a video that showed historic landmarks and how the city has grown over the years. Photos are allowed but no flash, and it is FREE admission with donations accepted. You will not need and entire day but it is worth a visit and you will walk out more educated about the City of Chico.

It is warm, inviting, and has plenty of seating, with a full cast of attentive staff, and decor that doesn't shout "Italian!" from the rooftops, but is very hipster whispering with confidence. We opened with the lamb appetizer, and I'll admit this with measured humility... it rivaled my own. Tender, well-seasoned, and not a trace of that gamey nonsense. The Brussels sprouts followed suit, crisped just right, delivering that perfect bite between char and flavor. The bread and dipping combo? Let's just say restraint was not my strong suit. A few pizzas passed by like temptation itself, and every one of us took notice. Plans were made... our future visit in the works. For the mains, the birthday girl claimed the ribeye, and it arrived exactly as it should... cooked to perfection, with potatoes that could quietly steal the show if you weren't paying attention. Her boyfriend and I, in a moment of questionable maturity, settled our fate with Rochambeau. He emerged victorious and took the crispy chicken breast with gnocchi, a dish generous enough to test even a committed appetite. I went with the short rib ragu, rich and comforting, the kind of plate that doesn't need explaining. The drink selection holds its own, and the dessert menu read like a final act worth staying for... but we were defeated in the best possible way and bowed out early. Service never missed a beat. Present, attentive, and smooth from start to finish. Parking, as with most things in downtown Chico, requires a bit of patience and perhaps a small offering to the parking gods. But once inside, it's quickly forgotten. All told, a night well spent. Good food, good company, and a place that knows exactly what it's doing without needing to announce it. However, when the install happened, the fire dept asked for a couple of sprinkler heads to be located and one new one. The cost of these changes was very high. Even my builder was really surprised that the few changes cost that much. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to pay since these guys didn't even tell me or my builder that it would cost that much extra. And even then, we would have had no choice since most of the system was installed by them. One of things that I always look for is how long has the business been operating and how many good reviews it has. They have been operating since August 2000 and not a single good review - that tells you something. If your builder selects these guys for a fire sprinkler system, walk away - else your wallet will regret it later.

I was met with Ron who helped fix the problem. Ron was at my home for 6 hours, 8 am to 2 pm roughly. However, when it came out to the invoice, instead of an estimated $510, Todd had charged me $925 with no itemized receipt, I asked for one when I paid my bill and they didnt send me one after 5 days. When I called to discuss this discrepancy with Todd, he told me that the $85 rate was for Ron however the company would also need to be billed on top of that. I feel like this is a very DISHONEST business practice to quote me an inaccurate rate. Work done by Ron was fine and I had no issues with Ron. However, I had quite a bad experience dealing with Immoss Fire Protection and Todd.
