I used to frequent this library a lot before I moved away. It was my happy place. I recently…read morevisited and was stunned by the atmosphere. People, mostly staff, called out to regulars when they came in, people called across the room to each other, and the staff talked in full voice, often gathering and just chatting. I had to put headphones on to try to drown out the noise. What happened to the days of talking in whispers and "Shhh!"?
