Knowing that no one had knocked on my door I contacted the post office immediately. Instead of sending the mail carrier back out with my mail the woman said she would send my certified letter with the mail carrier the next day if I would kindly sign the slip and put it back in the mailbox. So I signed the slip and put it in there, got my certified letter the next day but the mail carrier failed to pick up the slip of paper which had my required signature on it. Go figure.

The recipient was waiting at the address and said no one knocked. The PO staff said the "signatures required" box was not checked but I have a photo of the label, showing in fact, it was!
