They told me to move my mailbox from the front of my house to a location a block away that is included in the mail delivery contract. Is this crazy? I cannot receive mail at my house because the Post Office refuses to rewrite the contract.

The library it self is fairly small in terms of number of books but i guess the town is pretty small. It has computer for use and free wifi which is a huge plus. They do not hace a lot of travel books which i like to check out. There is plenty of comfy chairs to read or study. It's not noisy usually and staff is friendly. Note that there is no cell phone use in order to keep a quiet environment for others. They do enforce this. It's understandable but annoying if you just need a quick call. There are a few secluded places where you can relax with a good book or study for a test.

If this happens to you, and you want to avoid the undoubtedly more crowded DMV in NYC, the Catskill DMV is a solid choice. They are open (unlike the other one I tried farther upstate), but they are busier than you might think. The real downside is that they do not have an online portal set up to make appointments, so you're stuck calling in during their open hours to try and get one. I called in roughly 85 times to get an appointment a few days later, so I'd start early if I were you. That said, once you actually arrive within your given window, everything went very smoothly (if you read directions and bring in the proper paperwork). The folks working there were also super nice and even funny, although they weren't as masked up as one might hope (some were some weren't).
