So, it really surprises me when I read some of the negative reviews. The employees have been very friendly, explained any relevant information in a clear and concise manner, and provided all necessary information (when items were missing, etc.) to quickly close gaps on what I needed to get accomplished. They have always been incredibly patient and often offer smiles. Some visits have been busier with customers than others. Regardless how busy they've been, it's always been obvious that the employees work diligently and as quickly as possible to meet the customers' needs and to move onto the next. The visits and wait times have never been excessively long. They provide 5 stations to take exams. The main waiting area has plenty of seating. There are two places where photos are taken - maybe one for driver's license and the other for state ids. There are approximately 6-7 employees to help with all the BMV needs. The parking is not bad. The parking lot isn't huge, but I believe is adequately sized for them. It sort of sits on a hill, so it can be a little awkward maneuvering in / out of spaces.

Instead of taking the information he decided not to take ownership and write himself a favorable report. Dispatch is an absolute joke and I had to offer them my location 4 different times to 2 different dispatchers. The second dispatcher wanted to argue and cancel my request. It took a third dispatcher to finally take down the correct location. It took 25 minutes to arrive. Defund these lazy folks.

Previously, someone had told me there was a new law prohibiting vehicles from driving alongside semis, while in a roundabout. I was calling to ask if that was actually a law, to ensure that if a semi crosses over the lane (happens almost every day) and strikes my vehicle, that I would not be at fault. The dispatcher I spoke to kept giving audible and exaggerated sighs, and told me that I needed to call City Hall, not the police (incorrectly assuming that I called to complain about the roundabout). I'm not sure why the dispatcher would tell me that I should call someone other than law enforcement, to inquire about the current laws they enforce.

I got out to talk to him and he asked "are you guys ok?" And "what kind of help do you need?" Once he found out that we were already waiting for a tow truck he told me to stay in the car, get some AC,(it was 94° that day) relax the wife and kid, and stay safe. He stayed parked behind us with his lights on until the tow truck got us out of there. He was very kind, courteous, helpful and professional. He was what ALL cops should be......

This place is alas all business and dour faces. :( Usually when I buy a roll of stamps, I get to pick what kind of forever stamps I want. The woman just charged me for the stamps and then handed me a roll of Christmas Forever stamps (this was in February) without telling me first they ran out of other styles. Because she had already rung it up, I walked out of there grimacing with my ugly Christmas Forever stamps. Oh well - I needed the postage. They get the job done though.

Well over 20 years ago I purchased a handgun that I no longer wanted to keep. I don't consider…read moremyself a fan of guns nor will I be confused with a fan of the NRA. Instead, I no longer wished to have this weapon in my house. I stopped by the Clarksville Police Department and was able to donate my gun. They require your id info and then run a background check on the weapon, of course my gun was clean and now I no longer have to worry about this liability issue. The process was smooth and easy.

I called 911 immediately and they were there in less then 10 minutes and helped me get my daughter out immediately. she was thankfully completely fine because of how quick they were and offered her water. Truly thankful for how they handled it.

Didja know Louisville has a Taxpayer Service Center in a real office staffed by real people? They…read moredo! I came here last week because I needed a form that wasn't available on their website. Believe it or not, the website instructed that I should print and fill out a "form requisition" (which was online) and mail it in to get the other form. When I read that I had to look over my shoulder for a hidden camera. Since the deadline was approaching, rather than trust the timeliness of both the USPS and the Kentucky Revenue Service, I marched down to this office to see if they could hand me my needed document. Did they have my form on hand? Of course not. How would the bureaucracy feed itself if they did that? But a very kind worker bee gave me a post-it note and told me if I wrote my name and address on the form, she would make sure it got sent quickly. Sure enough, my desired form (the correct one!) arrived in two days flat. Efficiency in the midst of chaos! A gleam of competence in a sea of WTF! The little stuff does matter.
