The Simmons location is very fast and competent. In and out the few times I've been there in like 15 minutes.

WOW,…read moreI was heading to tour Neon Museum and decided to continue my drive deep into North Las Vegas where no man or woman should drive and discovered the end of the world here! Fellow travelers the Zombie Apocalypse Is real as it get and they live on the streets of North Las Vegas. So I'm driving and the first thing I see is an actual street walking prostitute getting ready for some Friday night tricks, needless to say I didn't stop and say hi.... As my drive continued into the waist-land of human carnage laid upon the streets in cardboard boxes, plastic tents and cement beds I also noticed the wheelchairs (vehicle of choice ) that people sitting around in. You can see the countless police cruisers handling some multiple incidents, so if you wanna watch just follow the flashing blue lights and it's no K-Mart Special happening. This went on for miles while I drove. A few casinos actually existed but you'd take your own life trying to get from parking to the doors without getting clubbed over your skull and robbed. ( Safety NOTE ), so be careful while driving cause people just start walking across the street no matter how fast your driving. I almost had some road kill mounted to the hood of my car while heading out of town for some person just walking ( HELLO RED HAND LIGHT IS FOR TO STOP ) and I even had a green light to drive...I'm fairly sure if you came into contact with anyone in this area you defiantly has a 100% chance of getting either HIV, CV19 or some new immune deficiency that's not been detected. Maybe you wanna take the kids to scare them about the dangers of drugs but you may scar them for life. But if you do I expect a family photo to be posted on YELP... Now if you do journey into North Las Vegas lock your doors cause you've been warned! Aloha

Not going to lie, visiting one's Social Security office can be a bit of a hair raising experience…read more Lots of people, security at the door, tense, confusing, paperwork ridden, exhausting. It is what it is. Toshima at the front when I first walk in made my two visits to the SS here on Buffalo a 4-star experience. Having to go twice on behalf of a family member and sorting out their mountainous pile of medical paperwork to properly file SSDI for them, I am already overwhelmed before I even walk thru the door. But when I do, Toshima is at the first window kind of hollering at folks walking in and asking "do you have an appointment?" He is a super nice guy, you can just tell, despite him hollering at you thru the plastic partition from behind his desk. He is quick to help and offer advice without attitude or tone. Clearly there is a lot of reason for an employee at an SS office to be short tempered or at the end of their rope, but Toshima is real, measured, human. In the sea of confusion surrounding all that I was addressing, Toshima was clearly knowledgeable, experienced, trying to move my process along and doing what he can to make sure I have everything in order that they requested, thus why I was there to begin with. He interacted with me in a way that made the SS office seem "human" if that makes sense. He does not want you to waste your time or their time. He might be a unicorn in the whole experience, but again, he is worthy of making my experience a 4-star event. So yeah, my first Yelp review of a Social Security office and hopefully my last, but Toshima warrants a shout out in exceeding my expectations that were super low prior to walking in.

As long as you have your documents ready, the process is quick and they get you in and out without much waiting around. The location is easy to find, right on Martin Luther King Blvd, and there's even a beautiful statue of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. out front. Overall, this court feels pretty laid-back and straightforward, which makes the whole experience a lot less overwhelming.

I suffered mistreatment from Justice Diana L. Sullivan…read moreduring my hearing of case #24-CR-011049. After careful review of the Revised Nevada Code of Judicial Conduct, I feel that Justice Sullivan violated several of the canons. I appeared in court on my court date, dressed in professional business attire, and demonstrated nothing but the utmost respect before this judge, but I was greeted with the complete opposite. Justice Sullivan greeted every defendant as they stepped up to the front during their turn, except me. I was the only one professionally dressed, but, this judge took one look at me and proceeded to be rude, for no reason at all. When the charges were read to me and I was asked to state a plea, I simply asked if stating guilty would affect my driving record. My case was due to a minor accident. Judge Sullivan snapped back at me with a snarky and sarcastic response, "I don't know! Do I look like the DMV to you?!" I simply wanted as many facts before pleading anything. Should I not be allowed to ask questions? And, shouldn't the judge be informed of details such as these? Judge Sullivan then told me that I would need to pay a 150 dollar fine, and then in another sarcastic tone, she said, "Oh don't worry, I'll give you plenty of time to pay." As if to imply I could not afford to pay. Was there something about my appearance that indicated I was unable to afford a 150 dollar fine? I almost took out two hundred dollars from my wallet then and there to throw in front of her, and tell her to keep the change, but I maintained my professionalism and composure. I am a respectful, educated citizen, and veteran, and to be shown such rudeness and disrespect was uncalled for. Speaking of being a veteran, when asked by Judge Sullivan if I am a veteran, I answered yes. She then asked what branch I served in, in which I responded with the Navy. Apparently, in her mind, she thought serving in the Navy was a joke. She scoffed at that and appeared to almost laugh. Her, being unaware that I served alongside the Marines and had deployed to Afghanistan in combat environments. So, for her to devalue my service when she knew nothing about it was incredibly disrespectful. I regret very much that I did not come forward with this complaint sooner, this experience has affected me deeply. My therapist told me I should start standing up to bullies, and Judge Sullivan is a bully. I filed a complaint with the court but it was dismissed and nothing was done. This Judge should be made aware of how unprofessional she is. I am a highly educated and law abiding citizen and her treatment of me goes to show how ignorant these individuals who are supposed to serve the community really are. So individuals who have to interact with Sullivan and others like her, BE WARE
