Turning left out is a little bit of a challenge - cars intermittently come from both directions. The library itself looks like it was built in the 70s, with a spacious entryway that hadn't quite realized it's potential. The interior is divided into adult, teen, and children. The children's section is particularly adorable with the endcaps painted to look like a rainbow. The library has multiple areas to study and read in the teen and adult section, and is well lit. The librarians at the reference desk were particularly friendly and informative, and welcoming visitors back to their library. Stopping in was a great experience!

They even let my new mother-in-law behind the counter to take our picture while we swore to that the information we provided was true. Long story short, we thought we found the right "contractor" right in our own neighborhood. Turned out, we put a $1000 deposit towards a $2200 driveway demolition job which never happened. Only thing he did do, was tear up the lip at the end of the driveway as a means to 'keep us quiet' and buy himself some time while simultaneously doing another job not far from where we live. The phony 'contractor' led us to believe he would be at our house 'tomorrow' to break ground. But that never happened. The back and forth between this quack and my husband went on too many times to count. I lost patience and hubs tried to keep his cool. But we also wanted our $1000 for a job he was hired to do which never took place. Instead, he used our money to pay for electrical tools to use for his other job. After that, there was some shady business from the halfwit you'd only see on tv. We eventually got $500 out of the $1000 we initially paid him. And that just set hubs off. ************************************************ Hubs took matters into his own hands and filed a Westchester Consumer Protection complaint against that quack with ALL our info right on this website. Alfonso (don't recall last name) was assigned to our case and wanted basic timeline information to get a thorough picture of what went down in order to work up a case. With Alfonso's help, multiple charges were brought against that so-called "contractor" and get back the remainder of what was due to us. Alfonso played a key role in all this and resolved our issue. Most importantly, he put a stop on that phony as hell 'contractor'. So thank you Westchester County Consumer Protection for being what you are AND going as far as you did in this matter. Plus your expertise and speediness- even during this pandemic, is impressive.

Could spend days there rotating through different study spots Even has an art gallery upstairs with rotating exhibits! Also upstairs is an audio area to listen to vinyl (and extensive collection of vinyls). Lots of outlets in each workspace area. Very clean, plenty of windows for natural light. The bottom floor has a cafe with a lot of food options. You can only eat in the cafe area, but the options are so diverse (sandwiches, pizza, nuggets, small frittatas) and coffee is very cheap as well. Even the cafe area has a section of outlets. Multiple self check-out desks, both on bottom floor near the cafe and on the main floor. Also several help desk stations (bottom floor, two on main floor, and on top floor). My happy place. Makes studying more bearable.

The original house has a modern addition that holds the entrance and a display room for their rotating exhibits. At the time of my visit, the exhibit included historical dress for women and children. It also has a (modern) restroom to use. The actual house includes period furniture with display cards to explain what your looking at and in some cases, why the items are significant. The docent came in with me to answer questions if I had any and possibly to make sure I wasn't inspired to try to figure out how the spinning wheel works! It was a very pleasant experience and a very quick stop - it was maybe 20-30 minutes.
