If you need other services or didn't renew on-line, the wait can be 2-4 hours. (KOP DMV, if you are reading this, it would be really helpful if you set up a separate 'pictures only' line right at the main entrance.)

So when I went in, the office was closed for lunch but the woman teller was closing the door and was kind enough to go get a form for me and explain how to submit it. I didn't realize it was closed for lunch (1pm-1:30pm) but she still helped me, was very pleasant, and she was 15 minutes into her lunch! Thanks to all of the tellers at this location! I had a package to go out and the mail person already delivered my mail so I checked to find one nearby to drop off my already paid for package. The website for local post offices said that the hours for the Westtown Post office is open until 3p. So I jumped in the car and drove 20 minutes to arrive at 1:10... Maria told me the hours are the ones noted on the door of the post office and that it closed at 1pm. UGH!!!! I now wasted 40 minutes of my day and my package will not be sent until Monday.

Yes, we were 10 minutes late however her lack of any iota of customer service was shocking for such a nice library and other very lovely librarians. This lady could not answer any questions in regard to the form and made no effort to be helpful in any way. She kicked us out 20minutes later as appointments are apparently only 30 minutes on the dot. It is also $35 processing fee per person applying, I guess that's the price for extra rudeness.

My appointment was for 10:30 and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Everything was very straightforward and the processing fee was $35 and the library charges another $10 for the photo. I live in an apartment and even…read morethough I witnessed a tenant trying to break into my neighbor's apartment, they took forever to come to the apartment and then wouldn't even talk to the tenant who tried to break in who has mental issues and a history of doing this!!! And the apartment he was trying to break into had a young girl by herself home alone. They were completely incompetent and gaslighting saying, "what do you want us to do? He didn't break in?" Maybe get off your lazy ass and go talk to him! Not only were they completely dismissive but so was their Sergeant. We pay WAY too much in taxes to have such a shifty police department! We also have a tenant that was drunk driving and they let him pull into our building and let him off. What!?!?! Who does that! He could kill someone!!!! And then when a tenant was passed out and urinating in our laundry room, they came and took her word for it: "she messed up her meds." This woman clearly has a history of substance use and needs help! Not to be enabled, which they're too lazy to do their job, they let anyone off. That or they are just flat out lazy to do their job right. I had just gotten a ticket in the municipal lot located next to Hoopty's Pizza claiming I had an expired meter. Now first off there are no longer meters in this lot, along with a majority of lots in the Havertown area. What there is now is a kiosk located at every entry point where you pay there. The way this works is , in case you don't know, once you find an available spot there is a number associated to that spot. This is your spot you are paying for at the kiosk, after you pay they issue you a receipt with the allotted time you have. Final step is to place said receipt, (a proof of payment) on your dashboard in plain view. Step 1: check , my number is 46 Step 2: check, $.25 cents for a half hour. (checked in at 8:47 am, expires 9:17 am) Step 3: check , placed in plain view showing payment. Now I was pretty hot about this , I had to take pictures of this . Now the first is Evidence A, and second is Evidence B. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I give you - Evidence A: What we have here is a ticket issued to me showing a Parking Meter violation at 9:09 am. Evidence B: The lazy attendant that can't see, or read showing I was well in the time frame of legal parking. I presented this to Officer Hagan (Havertown's finest) to handle. He did , he also apologized for the lack of effort put forth by the meter attendant. I found some kind of pleasure in making him STOP what he was doing , get him out of his rhythm , just for someone else error. Solid 2, until they invade Wawa and hang out by the coffee stations.

This is a great library because of the staff and volunteers. Hands down, they make this place…read moregreat. They breath life into the aisles and shelves. Let's count the ways: 1. Awesome CD collection - Ok. I get it. CDs are dying and downloads are rising. I am a raving fan of Spodify but not all my bands are on it. So there are some CDs I need to get to upload to iTunes. SPL helps me. 2.) Spectacular DVD section - another thing that has gone the way of streaming but most everyone still has a DVD player. They offer a nice taste of everything: foreign, documentary, independent and major studio. There's a nominal fee required but it's a pittance compared to the theaters. 3.) The Shelves - they do a nice job stocking books I enjoy reading in subjects that I'm passionate about 4.) The Delaware County Library System - I can request books and CDs from other libraries if Swarthmore doesn't stock it. And they are usually delivered quickly. Their website and ordering process is great. 5.) Their sales - used books, CDs, DVDs and delicious baked goods. Worth seeking them out!
