Prior reviews are hot and cold. I have had multiple experiences, hot and cold, so 3 stars for me. Sometimes they are quick, sometimes ridiculously slow. Usual PO drama with workers acting weird (being really slow like they're spaced out, or deliberately being obnoxious), and customers acting weird too (shuffling oddly in line & getting in my personal space, getting infantile that there is a wait, etc.). IDK what it is about USPS, but when there are lines at the PO people get strange. read more

I went here to main a priority mail envelope late in the afternoon and did not know if I would get to My usual post office on time. I was third in line. One service person was not taking customers. The other was working quickly but so quickly that seemed almost rude. He seemed pressured to get people out the door and he was successful in doing that but it was borderline rude. read more

Imagine a post office so inept they do not monitor closely something as important as having the necessary customs forms necessary to mail an international package. Its dumb for sure and as stated highly inept to not manage keeping a proper level of these forms as doing do is so very easy. There is only a handful of paper forms still used at the post office so when you get down to a few hundred it would be so easy to reorder them to ensure you always have ample supply on hand for your customers. Where the ineptitude morphs over to straight up poor customer service is once you run out (which is embarrassing and a failure of proper management of course) for 3 days you do not restock the supply and force customers to check in each day to see if the forms have arrived (since you cannot call them or they do not answer the phone) and be disappointed to learn they have not arrived. Also even more galling is knowing that it would merely take one employee or manager or postmaster to drive roughly 1 hour round trip to Philadelphia were I am assuming you could borrow a pack or 3 of these slips until your resupply shipment arrives. If you had done just that little bit you would have saved many customers from showing up to be hilariously told for 3 days that "Sorry we cannot ship any international parcels because we ran out of forms" You may be asking why anyone would continue to check each day if forms had arrived rather than go to another post office remember this is the only post office I know of in the whole county maintains hours until 7PM when you yourself work a 9-5 job. read more

I was there this morning, 12,12,2023 at 9:10am. only two clerks at the counter. I was 11th in line. 25 minutes later I had to leave as they had only processed three customers. Then the one employee took on a family of four to process their passports. I tried one of the two self self service kiosk and it was out of for large envelopes. What a disgrace for customer service. it Christmas time. Put more people on the counter and at least have a separate employee processing passports. I never use this post office again. read more

I use the post office to ship items everyday. This location 19380 on AIRPORT RD, West Chester, PA sucks with their schedule and hours. If you are supposed to be open until 7 why are they closed at 6pm? I get "sometimes" there is a short staff, but this has happened multiple times in the past couple months. Get your shit together already. If you're closing at 6 then change your hours. I'll send my package via UPS up the block. read more

Last time going here. I wanted to mail a package to my friend in Canada and I don't often send out of country items. The service was ridiculous I literally was grunted to by one man about how to fill out the customs form and when I wanted to check, he gave me to someone else. Then the other idiot couldn't find out why he couldn't enter the postal code and never told me I'd forgotten to write Canada because yeah...I took the package back and will be going elsewhere. I am disgusted with the constant lines and slow service. I do all that I can online and prepare packages from home with labels. Today I had to use the window as a return package had just a QR code. It had to be scanned by a clerk. When I got to the counter, with questions about all the behind the counter employees but only one windw was open, the postal clerk said, " I guess you should tell the shipper to give you a different return label." When I mentioned it was a 22 min wait time & the line was growing, with 5 uniformed employees behind the counter and just 1 window open, I was told the following: 1. was on lunch 2. was closing his drawer to leave for the day 3. Was overseeing the drawer closer 4. Appeared to be a boss and must have been there to provide support 5. Was waiting on me. I said I don't understand, there are 2 empty counters, With a shrug of her shoulders, she said the one beside her had a broken card reader. I couldn't begin to quiz her on the still empty and working register counter. This is pitiful service and explantions are ignorant. Postage/shipping rates are higher than ever. We do not get mail 6 days a week. When we do, there are neighbors' and strangers' mail included. It's a bonus when I don't have to redeliver and/or mark "misdelivered" on an envelop on a given day. Since the services were changed in 2020 by the defeated, corrupt, insurrectionist president, this location has deteriorated. Mr. DeNOjoy of the USPS has no shame or pride for running this federal agency. The beat of AIRPORT RD 19380 USPS rotten service goes on. They lie about hours! I arrived there at 6:55 pm and the inner door was locked. The rude obnoxious women behind the counter shouted to me they were closed. I indicated the time and all I had was a usps priority mail envelope that just had to be scanned in. I paid the postage and printed the label at home and affixed it to the priority mail envelope. One of the workers quickly counted out her drawer and disappeared. The other "worker" was waiting on a woman with lots of transactions. I waited until the "worker" unlocked the door to let the customers out and I at that point, just wanted to ask her if she knew of a post office that was still open. She called me a "white bitch" and said she was going to call the police if I didn't leave. read more

Waited in line for 40 mins before the passport agent said the customers she was working with were her last and that they had scheduled an appointment at 3pm. It was now 3:40. Funny, I then checked the website and it said passport appointments are scheduled at 15 min increments, not hourly. So she should have had plenty of time. Our documents were completely prepared and she didn't even give us a second. Feel completely abused, manipulated and furious. read more

This place is an absolute joke. Three employees watched me wait in the passport line for 15 minutes while another older employee finished up with his previous customer. The older lady who was originally helping me and then decided she couldn't help me any more thought whatever was going on with her phone was more important than doing her job. She was on her phone, loudly discussing per private life and rolled her eyes stating 'UGH, I guess I can do this passport' after I stood there for about 10 minutes, then she just disappeared. I had an appointment and I wasted a good 45 minutes here because of lazy employees. Such a shame. I don't understand why people just can't do their jobs. read more

The people at this post office make me dread having to ship and receive packages. The lady at the counter who served me was extremely condescending and very rude. The post had "tried" to deliver a package to me several times, all while I was at work, and left paper notices. I drove straight to the post office after work and asked to pick it up since they clearly only deliver during normal working hours. I brought a "sorry we missed you" notice, and the woman told me she couldn't help me and that it was against their policy for her to give me my package. What!? Finally another worker interrupted her and told her she saw my package, and went to bring it to me. The first lady rolled her eyes and asked me to sign, before pushing my box to me and immediately calling for the next customer. They have also completely misdelivered mail to my apartment complex. We have a communal mailbox area, and the worker who delivered the mail shifted everyone's letters over by one so we all received our neighbor's mail. I was waiting on a (pretty expensive) package, and the mail person had apparently left the keys to the lockbox where packages are stored in my neighbor's box. When I tried to call the post office at 4:30pm, no one answered even though they are open until 6pm. I called them twice more over the next half hour, and finally someone answered and immediately hung up on me! This place is a mess! If I could give less than one star I would. read more

This is the worst post office! Lived 3 other areas before and always had excellent service, but this one is horrible. The mailman is rude and delivers my mail to others and others' mail to me despite that I have lived here over 3 years. After multiple incidents, I have complained and am always told by his supervisor that she is "embarrassed by his rudeness" and "will talk to him". Nothing changes. When you call, you get NO answer-the phone rings and rings. The post office always has lines and the employees behind the counter take their time servicing customers. When you do finally make it to the counter, they are rude and short with you. The post office on 926 is great as is the one on Gay Street. Mail delivery person to the Reserve at Glen loch. I had stopped for my mail of course didn't see she had all boxes opened. I was going to wait as I just had surgery and it was my first day out. I knew there were packages and I can't always get some of the boxes open. I asked very nicely if she was almost finished. Without even looking up she said in a nasty tone " I will be finished when I'm finished". This is the kind of people coming into our development? A woman who can't be bothered to acknowledge if she will be 20 min or 2 min. I'm also a nurse. I work possibly anywhere from 12hrs to 16 hrs only to do the same the following day. I wouldn't dream of being that rude to anyone or would I get away with it. So W Chester I hope whoever this woman is get some training on how to deal with customers as that's who we are while she has our mail. I tried calling but getting anyone to pick up is a joke. read more

I'm surprised at all the negativity in the reviews. I've used this office for over 30 years! Yes, it's changed, and, yes, there are a lot more people they need to serve. I repeatedly have had negative experiences getting my packages from this post office. The most recent event involved them having my package for nearly a week and a half and repeatedly denying they did. When I would call to try to get someone to help me find it I was talked down to and hung up on my a "supervisor" named Sonya. I finally got in touch with the general manager who actually took the time to look into my case and realize that something wasn't right. He got with my mail carrier to look but still didn't find it. Due to some miraculous intervention it was eventually delivered just as I was about to contact the company I ordered from. All in all it took 9 days for my package to leave the post office and be delivered to me. Ridiculous that not only did I have to pay these people to ship my package but I'm also stuck with them because I'm not moving any time soon. read more

Just used the self-serve station and after dropping my package in the bin, I was confronted by an employee who accused me of stealing cards. Apparently no one uses the self-serve station, conveniently located squished into a corner by the cards. I won't return to a place where using a hassle-free option turns into a bigger hassle. Lori & John are great. Mostly they are the few staff I ever see there. John helped me by lending me a cart for a large package I was picking up. Lori processed my family's passports; there were 5 of us so we were there for about an hour, maybe a little more. We actually read the instructions on the passport forms, so we had everything we needed. We had are pictures taken and Lori did a great job; we didn't look like we just had mug shots taken. Lol! The reason my rating is only 3 stars is because of the Postal management there! They really don't seem to care about their staffing issue! Even as pleasant as John & Lori are no one wants to wait in line for 10 minutes! When I said something to one supervisor she told me I could use the machine in the corner, she'd show me how to use it! I love these guys there is a group of them that I usually get to see when I stop in once or twice a week...I love them so much for being so kind to me every time I stop in and they give me information about when shipments are heading out and if I made the cut off and stuff like that this is the best post office in the Milwaukee area and believe me I have been to all of them seriously. they are all sweet and funny and they laugh and stuff amongst each other so you know that they like their work environment. I saw the poor reviews, so wanted to weigh-in. I had probably the best experience with the USPS. Ever. We needed the lock on our cluster mailbox replaced, so I called the Post Office to inquire about how to get it done. The first time I called I spoke with a woman who was very nice and very helpful. She suggested first I use WD-40 to see if that helped the problem we were having. Unfortunately, it didn't, so I called back to schedule a time when someone would be out to replace the lock. Rather than scheduling a time, the man I spoke with offered to take care of it today (without prompting), even suggesting that he may come by to do it himself! I'm not sure if he was the man who actually did the work, but when they came by to give us the keys, he even waived the $25 fee (whaat?!). Really, truly, the best customer service from the USPS. I have been a business customer for 7 years and frequently drop off packages and do business at the counter. Agree with the positive reviews and the negative comments need balanced. The Post Office has procedures like FedEx and other shippers and if you take the time to read and learn the requirements, it all goes smoothly. Worst post office around. Especially if you have the misfortune of being served by the older Asian lady at the counter. She is extremely nasty and causes a problem for me every time I go in there. I never have a problem with any of the other people there or at the post office in exton. If you want your mail to get to it's destination on time...DO NOT USE THIS POST OFFICE!!!!!!!!!!! I took a first class letter on 11/21/14 and it still hasn't arrived today (12/1/14) I called them and they told me that they couldn't help me and that I should have spent the extra $4 for tracking. Really? The told me that the mail goes to a distribution facility and there's nothing they could do about it. They couldn't have cared less about my mail. The folks behind the counter could not be more "unconcerned" if they tried! They really don't seem to care. They take their time ... even if there is a long line. They do the best they can to give you as brief an answer as possible if you ask a question. Recently, I moved and I had a small business that I used my home address for. I went to the post office to put in a change of address for me personally and for my businesses name. They told me I CAN'T put in a change of address for a business ... PERIOD! I go on-line and obviously do it simply and easily. It is a shame that there is no accountability. Performance is not a concern. I will say it's a nice snazzy post-office inside. I go to the post office to mostly drop-off things. So...as for being able to walk inside a building and drop my package off at the counter, it's adequate. If I have to wait in line or talk to someone, though...forget it... I am very frustrated after dealing with my local post office. I mailed 2 packages priority mail from the Airport Road West Chester PA facility on 12/20/14. One was mailed to Charlotte NC & the other to Las Vegas NV. The expected delivery date was 12/23/14. As of 12/27/2014 neither has arrived. I understand it is the Christmas season but with priority mail, I figured I could count on minimal delays. Both packages arrived in a Philadelphia warehouse on December 21 and sat for a while. The package to Charlotte was delivered to Columbia SC on December 25 and sat until December 27. Of course they are Christmas packages and all of the intended recipients have left so I guess we can say the packages are on time for Christmas 2015. The package to Las Vegas, NV is still missing. After speaking with a clerk at West Chester this morning, I realized something very important - no one takes responsibility for anything and as far as the post office is concerned - tough!
