You might want to exercise caution when considering Paramount for a TPO roof. We got a new TPO…read moreroof last May - when it finally started raining here, I noticed that there was substantial ponding and most of the canales were not carrying any water off the roof. We're talking ten days or more after rain - there's water on the roof. Now the house has signs of water intrusion. Many calls to Paramount (or, as it turns out, to one of their contractors), there is still no plan or timeline to fix this. The contractor twice suggested that since the City had inspected the roof, there couldn't possibly be any problems. Not only is that logic ridiculous, it turns out Paramount never had the roof inspected. As far as the City knows, the work was never performed. At the moment, there is a thick layer of ice on one part of the roof that never drains. The snow from a week ago is melting each day, but since it can't drain, it refreezes every night. So, unless you really like to be stressed out each time it rains or snows, or unless you enjoy getting on your roof with a broom, cuidado.

March of 2024 submitted request for bids on new roofing project for home. Sent out many bid request…read moreand had reply from 3 that was probabilities. The others no response or upon review of respondents capabilities proved not acceptable. April of 2024 chose Whitlock roofing and obtained measurements and preparation for install. May, work was done. Inspector came out and passed roof construction. June of 2024 we noticed some glaring problems in construction. Whitlock came out and worked on problem replacing entire sections of roof. Patching minor glitches and construction oversight flaws. For the last year I have studying the roof wandering what is wrong with it. It seems off somehow. After studying many and I mean many roofs of metal construction. I have noticed a glaring difference from other construction and ours. All roofs of metal construction are squared along the bottom seam around the house. Using the manufactures flat edge as the common line. Looking at ours I find that the bottom edge of our home is not cut but bent under. With any seems and or ridges having metal strip or edging folded over or around it. This gives the roof a jagged uneven line around the bottom edges. From a distance it looks off some how. A closer look revels a hacksaw blade appearance following the edge around the home. This hacksaw blade look is what has been troubling me for the past year. Each panel is longer or shorter than the next panel adjacent to it. Looks like a saw blade laid on its side. I do not know if this will hamper longevity of the roofing material. The warranty duration. Leaks and other environmental elements, which could shorten roofing material life. It is however an item that keeps me from giving a 5 star review. It does not give the finished roof a clean square install look. As the other roofs of metal construction seem to exhibit from far and close viewing. This install and several other factors result in a three star review. I can not give a four star because of glaring problems in construction that never happened or installation resulted in something other than what was discussed during pre installation. The roof has not leaked during the last year following construction. This is a plus. However it has not improved in appearance and still has lingering concern over possible future problems because of the folded edges and hacksaw blade appearance. It is very uneven and jagged looking. With many parts folded that may result in water damming in joints and early rusting, or material failure. Time will tell, as it always does.

The owner of this company sent two inexperienced workers for this job. He never supervised them, only giving instructions over cell phones. They reused some rotten pieces of wood and completed the project with materials of different types and colors. They placed materials on the edges of the roof, which blew away in the strong winds and rain. They initially promised to fix the entire project, but again they began to delay their restart, giving me many reasons to lose their credibility. As a result, I hired another company to redo everything.

We called several roofing companies in a hurry. Action responded the quickest, and made an effort to get us scheduled right away. Juan and his guys worked with us and our solar technician to get us a brand new roof really quickly. Their attention to detail was spectacular. We had a couple of special requests that had to do with our rainwater collection system which they handled. Juan is also taking care of submitting the paperwork needed for our warranty. NOT RECOMMENDED! This is by far my worst contractor experience. I was left completely in the dark…read moreon project start dates, delays, return and finish dates, and special order updates. I grew extremely frustrated, and was eventually forced to conclude Lujan & Sons Constr. (LSC) has no concern for customer satisfaction. LSC was contracted for a tar/gravel re-roof and parapet repair. Here is just a PARTIAL list of what I experienced, and what should be considered red flags for potential new customers. - HSC failed to pull a permit, as required by the city. I checked with the city the day after the job was finished, and again 1 week later. JSC even cashed my final payment BEFORE I forced them to pull a permit with a series of documented text messages. - 2 delays on my re-roof project start date without any advance notification (once, they called THAT morning). - I had to spend 45 minutes every evening cleaning up after the roofers around the entire perimeter of my home. The debris included roof gravel with sticky tar, which forced me to wear shoes covers. I soon discovered they swept roof gravel into my decorative rock and flower gardens. - In one instance during my evening clean up, the roofers left several large pieces of lumber next to my driveway, which protruded 8-9 inches into the sidewalk. Very dangerous, and another city ordinance violation. I was forced to move them myself. - Without my permission, they used MY waterhoses, pushbroom and even my A-frame ladder (to hang plastic over the windows). Talk about a major contractor NO-NO!! For liability reasons, I NEVER would have allowed them to use my A-frame ladder! - They double-kinked my water hose in the frontyard to "turn off the water", and once left the water running for hours until I turned it off. - They threw trash in my recycle bin, which included a beer bottle wrapped in aluminum foil. - HSC asked for a progress payment, which was NOT in the terms of the agreement; I refused. - I never once received a phone call asking if I was satisfied with the work, with the work crew, with their daily clean up, if they were on time in the morning, if they worked a full day, if I had any concerned or complaints that needed to be addressed, etc. Not once. To put my review in perspective, I have been a homeowner for 30 years; this is not my first experience with contractors, both good and bad. I believe this makes me more than qualified to provide potential customers an objective review based on facts, many of which are documented with photos and text messages. Lastly, HSC has given me NO reason to believe I was provided a high quality roof and parapet repair that will last 20+ years. They showed no concern in my immediate satisfaction, so why should I believe they are interested in my satisfaction 15 or 20 years down the road!? I would strongly advise against using this company!!

What the hell kinda company doesnt allow their PMs to mess with the contracts? Or contract vendors or subs that are better for the project? Thats the job.... They are messing with families livelihoods and not looking back. Apparently they had hired another person as PM and that person they also let go after working there for only one week prior to hiring my wife. I see the pattern of a company that doesnt give a care in the world for the people they hire and their livelihoods, thats what i see. So, if u fit 95% of the general populations living situations (having a family) i wouldnt suggest working here. Just my opinion...

For the quote, they showed up on time, and even gave a "we are thirty minutes away" notice. On site for the bid, Luis was respectful and courteous and answered all our questions. After a few conversations, his bid was competitive, detailed, and clear. He did the work in less than promised. His crew protected the underlying property, and cleaned up afterwards so it was literally impossible to tell his crew had been there - except of course for the beautiful new roof. He cooperated, without displaying frustration, as we worked through some minor issues with my bank authorizing his payment. We would highly recommend Luis and Sundance Roofing. They're THE BEST!
