The roofing team arrived early on the first day -- going above and beyond by taking my garbage bin out to the street! AJ's has modern equipment and a very efficient re-roofing process. The tear-off of the old roof and the installation of the new TPO roof were done within two days. At the end of each day, they inspected the area around my house and removed any debris from their work. One of the best aspects was the project photos. Kaycee and Larry came out, listened to what I was wanting in addition to re-roofing (removal of old swamp cooler base through roof and concern about some soft spot areas). They inspected and measured roof area, then came up with an estimate for the roof work. The estimate was very reasonable and any items that could have affected the price after shingle removal and inspection were discussed. The presentation of the company's background, materials to be utilized, warranties and procedures during the work to be accomplished were discussed and overall I was impressed. There was no pressure to sign a contract immediately, no hassle with "if you sign now, we can offer a lower price", just genuine business attitude. I called the next day to schedule the work and I'm glad I did. The workers showed up as scheduled and even a few minutes ahead of their planned arrival. I paid them for the inspection and they said they would send a quote. But they took a while to send it. When they did, they wanted $1212 to clean my gutters and install gutter guards, install a downspout, and adjust all my gutters. My house has no gutters. I let them know they sent the wrong quote and to please get back to me with the correct one. Three weeks passed. Then they sent me a quote for the correct work, but instead of costing less since there was far less work to do, the new quote was for $131 MORE than the original. The original included 65 linear feet of new leaf guards and a lot of gutter work. The new one is for some sealant. It's obvious that they made up a number, decided to charge me that, and then concocted a quote around their false guess. I'm done with them.
