She was on time picking us up and dropping us off. Our trip to a typical Cubans families home for lunch was perfect. The family was very accommodating and we got to learn more about the typical Cuban food she served. The Bueno Vista Social Club experience was certainly a highlight of our Havana adventure. Wanted to let you know one day for lunch and dinner we went to a brand new restaurant in the Plaza De Armas, called Mirador de la Bahia. It is a rooftop restaurant with authentic Cuban prepared food. The curator / manager Albierto was super accommodating , spoke 4 languages . He told us at 9 pm the cannon is set off every night in Havana Harbor, we were there at that time and got to see it! The view is amazing in the daytime as well as at night. We loved Casa Verde in Cienfuegos. It was just the right size, the staff were very nice and helpful. Especially Cathy. The breakfast across the street at the Jagur Hotel was extremely abundant with lots of choices. We loved our tour of Trinidad . Our guide Eduard spoke really good English and he took us to parts of Trinidad that we may not have seen if it was not for him showing us ( we had sailed to Trinidad also , where we visited the main square etc) He took us to the Sugar cane Tower , also to a beautiful overlook, a valley a short distance outside of the city center. Lunch at La Curuna was very good also. Tropical Caribe Restaurant in Caslida is a hidden gem. The food and service was on point. It certainly is a challenge to find! As we went back again the next evening , explaining where it was to a taxi driver who spoke no English was certainly an adventure, but we managed to find it and the driver hung out to take us back to the marina. From Havana to Sailing around Cuba and everything in between. We did not know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised and happy. The people of Cuba were inviting , the travel was easier then imagined and locating food stuffs was a challenge but not daunting if you were willing to "adventure!" Thank you Jose and your staff! We look forward to returning to Cuba again one day.

They were both great ...like traveling with two fun friends. We spent about 3 days in Havana and then visited Cienfuegos and Trinidad for 3 days then back to Havana. Our driver, Emilio, and guide, Marinas, were along for the ride and were fantastic. We felt that it was really a bargain compared to other prices we saw online for trips to Cuba for US citizens. We had a very specific focus, to photo old pattern tile floors, and Jose made arrangements for us to have a curated tour with a architect in Havana. In the colonial towns we found many old houses with lovely floors. If the itinerary they present to you is not your 'cup of tea' just let Jose know your interests and he will plan your perfect trip.. One point, you should ask for a link to the info about the places they plan for you to stay at night, (you can google them) and if there are a lot of stairs and you don't want stairs, or any other thing about the accommodations turns you off, just say so ! He was extremely organized, conscientious, knowledgeable, attentive with a great sense of humor. Each day was very full and unique. While Jan himself was a gifted tour guide leader, he also hired dynamic and very knowledgeable tour guides who helped tell the history of the Jewish people in each country especially during WW11. Jan chose excellent restaurants and 5 star hotels. We travelled by bus, air,overnight ferry,trains. We visited museums, historical synagogues, City Halls and palaces, had opportunities to hike , get gelato, and had downtime to see the Fjords in Norway, relax by saunas, pools. Breakfast buffets were amazing. This was one of the best tours abroad that I have ever had. So knowledgeable.. so organized.. so friendly.. truly great at what he does. I actually found Momentum tours randomly on the internet and I'm so glad I did. Jan was always available to answer my questions and I felt very confident booking with them. The tour was a perfect mix of guided tours along with a little free time each day. There were a few included meals that were a surprise and it was such a generous and appreciated gesture. Our group was a small one and we all bonded on day one and by the end everyone felt like family. I highly recommend Momentum Tours. We can't wait to travel again with them. Keep up the GREAT work!!!

Dov was pleasant when i spoke to him on the phone about recommendations on where to stay with kids…read more Unfortunately that was the only pleasant part of trying to book a place with him...as the rest of the booking process left me EXTREMELY stressed. I had sent some inquiries to find out pricing and although was quoted more than what showed up on their website it wasn't a big deal as it's understandable prices can change. Problem is I told Dov that it was more than I was willing to spend and he then offered to give it to me at the price that was on their website. Great! Anyhow after confirming the place is still available I book a week after (had to confirm with my party), so I book. I get an email it's a different (much higher price), contact Dov and he tells me that quotes are only good for 24 hours although this is not listed on their communicated to me by Dov until after i book. anyhow after many emails back and forth and with me having to send follow up emails because days would go by without hearing from him, he finally agreed to honor the price yet again. So i'm waiting for him to send me a revised invoice, which he says will take him a few hours. 9 days later I send a follow up and i get a reply that he's no longer honoring the price yet again. So in frustration, i cancelled our booking and ask for a refund. He tells me the booking fee is not refundable (which it does state on the website), but if you factor all that's happened in terms of price being changed on me 2x, i'm surprised he wouldn't make an exception. After indicating to him my disappointment and threatening to go to my credit card company and requesting a chargeback, he finally decided to give me a refund. I'm sure there have been people who have booked without any glitches and enjoyed their stay like the 2 reviews posted, but just wanted to post a warning that you need to clarify things and make sure you keep all your emails! NOTE: I was a bit weary about booking these guys as i did a search for reviews and found some "self" reviews and anyhow, came across this tripadvsor posting of someone who wasn't as lucky. We were pretty excited about upcoming vacation. One day before departure we got call from TravelFurnish.com saying the condo owner had backed out and they have to look out for another condo. We asked TravelFurnish.com agent to provide alternate condo, after continuous follow-up agent found another condo for us and guess what within one hour that was also cancelled. Travelfunish.com agent (DOVE - very rude guy) called us and was trying to sell cheaper condo at same rate which was far away from original condo location and he was not ready to provide any alternative and was continuously saying he can cancel our reservation. Just imagine all this is happening one day before departure. Finally we had to cancel our booking and decided to reserve a hotel. I'm sure to make extra money TravelFurnish.com play this type of game and press you to rent substandard cheaper condo at same price you paid for better condo;s and they will do this one day before your travel.
