When my primary doctor referred me to Boone Health Pain Management in Columbia, MO, I was a bit skeptical, but also desperate for relief. After my first appointment last week, I can genuinely say that I feel that I have found a team that genuinely cares and has the knowledge to help me. This gives me hope for a better quality of life with less pain. From the moment I walked in, the experience was impressive. The front desk staff were welcoming, the wait time was incredibly short, and the initial nurse was professional and kind. Then I met my pain management doctor (Annie Metzner), she completely exceeded my expectations as she seems knowledgeable, was very thorough, and took the time to listen to my long history of pain and me trying to convey my level of pain (what probably seemed like a grown man crying like a baby). I detailed to her my chronic low back pain, fibromyalgia pain, and severe joint pain in my knees and elbows. She listened patiently, asked me a-lot of questions, took detailed notes, and most importantly took immediate action. Right away, she ordered X-rays of my knees, scheduled me for physical therapy, and booked me for knee injections. For the first time in a long time, I have a profound sense of hope.
