Debbie is very good with curly hair and is Deva trained. I've been going for about a year and have referred many "curly girls" who have complimented my hair. Be aware: if you are looking for a serene, customer centered experience, you will NOT find it here. no coffee, water, etc offered. The women who work here talk to each other, loudly, about party menus, plans... whatever is happening. I've been there while they (loudly) discuss religion too. Aside from that, it's a good haircut. Review for a service done on 5/10: With $72, the price was outrageous for a basic haircut that took them 15' with no styling or adjustments afterwards. The hair cut is ok even though it wasn't to my taste. I have thick hair but they couldn't do a layer, and I had to cut my own bang when I got home, as it was too thick and long still. However, my complaint is not much about the haircut, but more about how rip-off and disrespectful they are. I walked in their store with a dry, normal hair on my head. I walked out as a wet rat. Sue K, my hair dresser soaked my hair to make it wet for an easier hair cut, which I didn't mind. However, after the hair cut, she asked with me all I wanted was a haircut, which it was all I wanted. I had no need for a style & blowout and I was sensing the up charging. And she then told me it was a wet cut and escorted me to reception counter to pay, with my hair still soaking wet. And yet, the owner/ manager had nothing to say about it. Even if I had no need for fancy styling, I'm very sure I'm entitled for a basic blow dry. Plus, I have no clue how they would judge their project to see if it needs any adjustments if the hair isn't dry, claiming how professional they are. Perhaps, having a perfect job making their customers happy isn't their goal. Or I'm not worthy enough! Overall, avoid having business with them if you don't wanna be ripped-off , disrespected, and manipulated. With such money, I'm pretty sure, you would be treated as a queen coming out of a hair salon with a sleek, fabulous hairstyle elsewhere!!! read more

We were charged FIVE HUNDRED AND FIFTY SIX DOLLARS for a root touch up , highlight and a haircut when i called to find out HOW this was possible and get a price breakdown , I was HUNG UP ON! I called prior to making an appointment to get pricing and was told a root touch up was $85 haircut was $65 and highlights started at$100 ! If I could give 10 stars I would! My friend and I decided last minute to have a girls hair day date. I called early in the morning and they got us appointments at the same time that day. My hair has not been professional touched in 10 years with dye nor professionally cut in 6 years. I'm the girl that just goes and gets a box of dark brown/black dye. Once my roots (my greys!) start coming in, back to Walgreens I go. I'm moving out of state next month and decided what the heck! I deserve a little pamper this new year and my friend coming with me has gone to Soho before. I'm always super hesitant and I agreed. My stylist was Debbie, who is also the owner. All the staff was super friendly and very empowering to one another. Everyone telling each other what a great job and taking that extra moment to tell the client that they look beautiful as well. I love it! So back to my box dye black hair. I thought it would be totally impossible to get the look I wanted, which was lighter tones with some red hints, over the black I've had for years. I showed Debbie pictures of what I was looking to hopefully achieve and off to work she went! She went so above and beyond every expectation I had hoped for. I thought my hair would forever be black unless I bleached it. My cut is amazing!! My hair is the healthiest it's been in years! The colors came out so beautiful. All of the colors blend amazingly! I completely forgot already that my hair has been black for ten years because it just looks so amazing and fits my face shape and skin tone so well! My friend was in a rush but wanted some quick highlights and a cut. Her stylist was Sue. She had 2 hours to get her ready for her date and she nailed it! Going to Soho is like going to your neighbor's house - the neighbor that is very friendly, always having a good time, & very trustworthy. After three years of living in FL, I finally found a place I want to return to. The entire staff was engaging. The atmosphere was very welcoming & unpretentious - Soho doesn't have to try & sell itself because it doesn't need to. Debbie did my hair, & even though I could barely manage to articulate what I wanted, she managed to give me exactly what it was that I was looking for. From cut to color, it was as though she saw the image I had in my mind. The pricing is not expensive, either! Affordable, & I am happy that nobody tried up selling as I was finishing. Charlene at Soho is such an amazing hairdresser. I have tried many many hairdressers and no one compares to her. She has cut my hair better then anyone has.
