The main bar was pretty big and there were 2 bartenders working the night. The bald one was a MUCH superior bartender in my honest opinion. He had banter, could make drinks well (creatively added some small flair to a lot of the standard drinks that guests were asking him to make) and also gave professional suggestions whenever he felt appropriate. The other bartender (who had curly hair and looked really young) was, I assume, quite inexperienced. There were times throughout the night where I approached him and he was on his phone scrolling through youtube. He made me the wrong drinks twice which was funny. I asked him for a tequila sunrise and he gave me a sex on the beach. I ordered a shirley temple for my gf and he made me a bloody ceasar (which has tomato juice in it and isn't remotely similar to a shirley) LOOOOOOL. Had a good laugh. Didn't take it too seriously as it was open bar, but definitely felt like he could've used a bit more training or practice. Anyways, dinner was pretty good! Wasn't a big fan of the salad. There wasn't enough dressing. The ravioli was cooked al dente which was great and they brought out a giant bowl for anyone who wanted seconds or thirds. I think the short rib entree was the best. The rib was super tender and the mashed potatoes were sooo smooth. Cheesecake was a nice finishing touch to round off the meal. Pretty cozy venue to host a wedding reception!

I am so glad that I did! It felt strange at first, leaving almost everything to others to plan - not even seeing my bouquet or the colours of the linens until 1/2 hour before the ceremony. The last week prior to the event, I even began to question whether I had made a huge mistake. When we got there and had a look at everything - it was absolutely perfect! I was amazed at how beautiful everything was. The ceremony was wonderful, the food was fantastic, and everyone involved on our day were so great, I can't even come up with words to describe it. Leading up to our big day, the staff always answered all my questions, whether by email or phone. They asked for pictures to get a sense of the colours we preferred and hit the nail on the head. We always felt accommodated and absolutely like ours was the only event they were planning. A special thank you to Katherine, who was absolutely amazing - knowing what to say to keep me calm, asking the right questions so she could correctly choose how to decorate for us, and having a great sense of humor. This venue is small - definitely not for a large wedding, but for the 18 guests we had, it was heaven. I absolutely recommend the Toronto Wedding Chapel if you have a small wedding that you want to be memorable but you're perhaps not the greatest at planning or just don't have the time. The only drawback was the photography. Unfortunately, about 20-30 pictures were pixelated and at least as many were blurry to some degree - however, they did send us almost 300 pictures (in less than a week!), so I refuse to give them less than 5 stars. The lobby area to host a cocktail hour can be small and tight if you have a big crowd attending your event. I like that there's an area for the bar that's outside in the lobby area for guests to get drinks. Once the reception started, they moved the bar inside the hall. The hall is massive and very spacious. Seats and tables were very comfortable. Staff were very nice. I also saw one manager running around with a walkie talkie to ensure the night was running smoothly with the kitchen and servers. The washrooms were clean and tidy. Lots of stalls in the women's washroom. There's an upstairs as well with a balcony, which I'm assuming is where the bridal suite is. Food wise, the quality was OK. I was hoping the food was better actually. The bread rolls were very hard. Salad and lasagna were good. And the chicken and beef were decent as well. I think dessert was a chocolate brownie cake, which was too sweet. The staff were efficient and kept refilling our water. There's lots of parking outside the venue. And there's a small hut outside for people to hang out as well. The only downside at banquet halls is how thin the walls are. When we were listening to the speeches, you can hear the party next door blasting their music. I like that there's also security at the doors, and the doormen were very nice, always opening the doors for us. Overall, it's a very nice venue, and I would recommend it.

I also found staff had a tendency to replace wine bottles and open another one -resulting to elevated per bottle charge for tables -for the host particularly. Other than that, staff was very attentive. The lighting. Hmm I had a nice selfie by the bar before the lights dimmed down. The moulding across the wall made for a very simple background. The lobby and the main room with lights dim does make it a challenge to take a selfie without flash. So get a good professional photographer to capture moments.

I loved the overall setup of the banquet hall. It felt intimate and fitting for a party of about 150-200 guests. The entryway included a coatcheck and multiple areas for bars to set up as well as activities for wedding guests. The inside hall itself was beautiful and spacious, allowing for both a ceremony as well as the reception to follow right afterwards. The staff here were just on top of it too in making sure we as guests were taken care of. I appreciated the staff making sure my special meal was provided throughout the evening and for also keeping our glasses full whenever the moment called. From the very beginning, working with the Roma's team was a joy. We dealt mostly with Joseph and Ana, and Ana in particular went above and beyond for us. I am a detail person, and I came to her with well over a hundred questions throughout the planning process -- she answered every single one with patience, warmth, and impressively quick turnaround. Her responsiveness took so much stress off our shoulders and gave us complete confidence that our reception would run smoothly. And it did. We researched many venues before booking, and Roma's offered the best value for the price by a wide margin. The space itself is stunning -- so beautiful that it genuinely needs very little decoration to shine. Everything came together looking elegant and polished, exactly the dream we had envisioned. The food and drinks were all bought by the birthday girl so I am not sure if the hall caters or not. The hall is located in a pretty unassuming area and I thought it was very small from the outside. As my bf and I entered into the main hall, we soon discovered that it belonged to another party. We then went downstairs where our event was held. That being said, there seem to be two main floors, both very large. The downstairs is quiet sizeable with a dancing area, buffet area and of course the floors washrooms.
