Over the following month, I sent multiple follow-up emails, made several phone calls, and left a voicemail requesting an update on the status of my service request. Despite these efforts, I generally received no response and no information regarding whether service attempts had been made or what the next steps would be. I understand that service of process is not always straightforward and that delays can occur. My concern was not the delay itself, but the lack of communication. Even a brief update would have been appreciated and would have given me confidence that my case was still being handled. Because I was unable to obtain any solid information after more than a month, I ultimately decided to retain another process server to avoid further delays in my court matter.
