Well, my husband ended up seeing the dude who was breaking into cars and followed him right to his house 2 streets over from ours. The police were there in probably less than 2 minutes and long story short, they got our truck keys back as well as making some well deserved arrests. A few days later our neighbor saw our camera being sold on instagram and called us immediately. We called Vacaville PD and they told us that they may not get to it today because it was a property case and they had other things that took priority (totally understandable). A couple hours later they called and said they had our camera! I am so thankful for for everything they have done. All of the cops we have dealt with have bent over backwards to help us. In my experience they are a great group of people who really care about the community. So THANK YOU VVPD!!!! You guys are killing it!!!

I reached out to the dispatcher who was focused and caring. Officer Connor Johnson arrived on scene and I was nervous and frustrated because it became a hit and run. This young man spent time with me explaining what would happen and what to expect after the fact as they were trying to locate the driver who happened to be intoxicated. I was hesitant because he was an officer. He was such a professional and a gentleman the whole time. If all officer was as kind and respectful as this young man was. It would totally improve the relationship in the community. He got my information as I kept most of it in my phone e and at the moment couldn't recall the info to unlock my phone. His patience and assurance at a time I truly needed helped me to calm down and regain my focus to get into my phone. He sat with me as he processed the information and made sure I was calm enough to make it home. Oakley Police Department he is a keeper and I am saying give this young man the biggest raise because he represents r this department is best light and provides such wonderful service to assist me. PD only arrived after I followed the individual around for 15+ minutes in my car while on the phone with them. The neighbors ended up doing the policing. Ridiculous.
