While the non emergency line has been quite helpful for reporting incidents around town, some of…read morethe cops just rub me the wrong way. I'd called the police a while back over a family dispute where my personal belongings were destroyed, and they completely blew me off. They assumed I was a teenager even though I'd just told them I'd graduated college, which they acknowledged, but I guess forgotten... And then ignored my concern for my personal safety and belongings. It's very concerning because if I were a teenager without the means to support myself, the situation would've been dangerous. I believe it was Officer Kennedy, and one other officer. They both attempted to fraternize with the individual who destroyed my things and physically attacked me, and they treated me as if my concerns were irrelevant or dismissible. As a former cadet at Public Safety Academy, this behavior is not what I was taught to expect from our public safety officers. I was beyond ashamed of the experience, and hence avoid calling the police because I doubt they will be able to provide much if any support.

The new Stanton facility is already falling apart and flooding and other problems to the build. Guards here are light and easy going for the most part. The food and commissary is probably the worst part of this jail and will always be. Since they are not worried about doing anything about it. So basically don't come to jail and mostly don't get caught in this county because it is really rough.

This was his 2nd time in 2 months. There is no one working or over the building. I was told I was being held for questioning while roughly placed in handcuffs by the elbow and wrists, placed in a cop suv with no windows open which was suffocating, and taken to jail. My Miranda rights were not read and no statement was asked nor taken from me. I was demanded to show my nipples to dress out or be processed and told to comply after being searched 4 times. I was roughed by Sherriff Bermudez and the 4 intake Sherriff officers that included 2 males. The cells had NO TISSUE, NO SOAP, and NO WORKING PLUMBING. I expressed this to Sheriff Marrietta and Sheriff Bermudez who rather roughly put hands on me, wake me up every few minutes to ask me if I want Gatorade and a phone call I NEVER GOT and told why should they have to bring tissue to me and I wont allow them to speak. I was released a day and a half later. This all stems from being initially accused 08/2021 by an officer for sleeping in a vehicle he blamed me for driving that is not mine and was not mine. I had BEEN working with homeless and housing resources who seems as I am finding has failed me for years now. I am a black American woman native of 707 lands other than Fairfield that is by far from fair in any way while looking for housing by Section 8 Active representatives services.
