I reached out to the dispatcher who was focused and caring. Officer Connor Johnson arrived on scene and I was nervous and frustrated because it became a hit and run. This young man spent time with me explaining what would happen and what to expect after the fact as they were trying to locate the driver who happened to be intoxicated. I was hesitant because he was an officer. He was such a professional and a gentleman the whole time. If all officer was as kind and respectful as this young man was. It would totally improve the relationship in the community. He got my information as I kept most of it in my phone e and at the moment couldn't recall the info to unlock my phone. His patience and assurance at a time I truly needed helped me to calm down and regain my focus to get into my phone. He sat with me as he processed the information and made sure I was calm enough to make it home. PD only arrived after I followed the individual around for 15+ minutes in my car while on the phone with them. The neighbors ended up doing the policing. Ridiculous.
