I had a service call to check for leaks from our ceiling Daikon unit. They charged us over $200 for…read morethe visit, but did not perform any repairs. They provided a quote to fix the issue that was over $2000. When I asked them to itemize the quote so I could see the breakdown of labor versus parts, they told me they couldn't and don't do that. This response raised my suspicions about their honesty. Additionally, they mentioned they would deduct the service call fee from the $2000 repair cost, but there were no guarantees that the repair would actually resolve the leaking issue. Fortunately, a friend who visited from the Midwest has experience running HVAC systems for a manufacturing company. He climbed up on a ladder, accessed the ceiling unit, and within 15 minutes, had the problem fixed! He found a line that had been manually disconnected from the system and simply reconnected it. It's been a month now, and we haven't experienced any leaks since.
