Had taken my grandmother to an urgent care nearby with same closing time and weren't admitted due to the wait times. Came here to solar and were quickly greeted with an intake sheet. My mother had chest pain and difficulty breathing the Dr analyzed her medical history-immediately and ordered an in-house chest x-ray that was ready for Drs review within 10 Min!! The attention they gave us was amazing her primary care doctor had done the same test weeks b4 But had left my grandmother waiting three weeks to review the results which is still next week.. not only did Solar Urgent-care immediately analyze xray and vitals results finding medical redflags they also give us an immediate recommendation for treatment. so glad we ended up here. The staff is great. The doctors are super knowledgeable And just may have saved my grandmother's life yesterday! five ;Btw - Dr actually followed up with us today with insights from her radiology and cardiology associates whom she had review the test and xray results.. wow above and beyon Service !!! read more

Worst experience ever, they take your insurance, have you pay your co pay and later bill you in full when they should tell you if they are covered or accept the insurance up front.Later they send you to collections for their lack of communication! Get a confirmation number from a reputable at your insurance stating this place is covered because they won't have the decency to tell you your group is not in network with them read more

I have been to this urgent care facility twice. It is clean and my wait has never been long. The staff is friendly. Once I had a billing issue and it was resolved quickly. Nobody wants to need to go to the doctor. My experience is that the doctors here take care of the patients. read more

I have a mixed review on Solar Urgent Care. I was literally the only person waiting/being seen and I still waited 45 minutes to be seen. The doctor and Zach were great but then the follow up to submit my daughters antibiotics to the pharmacy didn't happen which led to more wait times when my six month old was in serious pain. Lady at the front desk was extremely rude and very unprofessional...I have a 40 dollar co pay and she insisted I pay 85...umm no I pay almost 500 bucks a month so I can pay the 40 when I go to urgent care..it literally says on my card urgent care: $40...I used to like this place but now my opinions have changed...she also put blue shield on hold and left them there when they were trying to explain to her that I pay 40...never go here!!! They try to charge u more than double!! She also said I could pay 125 as a new patient..why would I do that when I'm supposed to pay 40?? read more

Well.....let's see, I didn't get in to see a Doctor. Why? 1:27pm and they told me they are closing at 2pm. So what, I'm here now with an urgent medical issue. "Sorry....no one can see you." With that said and realizing a 'Doctor' is ignoring an urgent medical need, what does that say about this facility??? Would not recommend to anyone in need of urgent care to go here. Great urgent care, fast, efficient, and great staff members. I'm used to the CMH clinic urgent care wait times and this place is 100 % much better than CMH. Despite how busy the afternoon was, Dr. Allen took the time to listen to my concerns. She helped me achieve a milestone in one day as I haven't been able to do with my PCM in months. As offices were coming to a close on a Friday, the ladies at the desk were able to work swiftly to help me get a test done at another facility. Solar urgent care staff, nurses, and doctors have helped me since the day of my auto accident (sept 29th 2015) and I almost don't want to post this to keep this gem to myself! But exceptional service, virtually no wait to compared to any other place I've ever been. I can't thank them enough, I'm actually heading back in today for a follow up, they gave me some really powerful antibiotics and my leg, I can almost walk on my leg with my full weight again. My skin infection was super painful and I went from a 9.5 on thursday night literally limping and using a walking stick to today of a 3, all because these wonderful people know what they're doing! Everytime I've had to come in, at least 5 as of today in less than 2 weeks, super friendly, they make you feel like family, I hope with this our family will grow ;) and that I don't have to see them anytime soon like a 2nd cousin who you just talk to on Facebook every now and then XD! Just moved from Austin tx to Oxnard and of course I start feeling bad from allergies. Trees, grass, mold, pollen, and dust are my nemesis but I love the outdoors. What doesn't kill you should make you stronger, that's what I tell myself. After researching my healthcare provider. I was given 3 options of within network urgent cares. Solar Urgent Care came up as the best rated with a whooping 11 reviews. So the end result will be in the eye of the beholder. I came in on Friday morning at 9 and got to be finally seen for just vitals at 10. There was just 2 peoples ahead of me yet the wait time seemed excessive. Luckily, I carry a list of all my medications and will be properly taken care of...... I'm sitting in a patient room right now waiting for the results. At 10:15 I got to see Dr Rad MD. Wow, an actual doctor and not a physician assistant whom don't really know anything. I was impressed by his bedside manner. I went over my history and I feel that I'm being properly taken care of. Very pleased with his service. I received an injection to help clear up my allergies and a breathing treatment. I feel like I'm gonna get better and wasn't just sent out with a prescription. 5 stars for Dr Rad. Guess he lives up to the name in my book. Walked in to Solar Urgent Care today not knowing what to expect because of several bad experiences at other places. I waited about 25 minutes in the waiting room and was called in. The medical assistant was very pleasant, answering all of my nervous questions while she took my blood pressure etc. About 10 minutes later the doctor walked in.. I was very surprised that she listened to all of my concerns and seemed to really care about me and my health which took away a lot of my nervousness. Went into Urgent Care yesterday and was really needing help for my neck pain. As soon as I walked in, the three front desk ladies (Jackie, Noehly and Yadi) were so bright and friendly. We were then taken to the back where Zack had taken my weight and height etc. But he is such a funny and nice nurse. He proceeded to ask about my pain. He was very caring when it came to observing my neck and making sure that he was gentle. Once Dr. Esmeralda came in, she was very informative and such an amazing personality overall! She prescribed me my medication and gave me a routine to do, so that way I don't have as much neck pain. I will no longer go to any other urgent care, unless Dr. Esmeralda is there. If you want to have a welcoming experience with nice and caring customer service then you need to come to this urgent care. I kid you not they have the best customer service there. Some of the friendliest nurses and Dr's I've experienced. I'm definitely going to come back. read more

Solar Urgent Care is the best place you can go to if you like to be treated with respect and urgency. The efficiency is unlike anything else around here. Their staff is friendly, professional and at times even funny. I went in to get a required TB test done today for a class I am taking at Cal State Channel Islands. I was truly impressed not only was there a minimal wait time when I came in, but it was an affordable price! As a Full time college student you don't have the time or the money to make little stops like this, but at Solar Urgent Care they truly take care of you in the most professional and time managing way. Melly (The Front M.A) was very helpful I came in with my school papers and she helped me fill them out and made sure I had all the information I needed! When it came time to do the actual test Zack was very professional and walked me through every step. This wasn't my first TB test but it was by far the best one I've ever had done!! Came here on a Wednesday night around 7:30 with a friend who needed stitches & lucky for us, the place was completely empty. The receptionists, Jackie & Zach, were AWESOME & so helpful getting my friend checked in. The doctor that did the stitches was very informative and explained every step & process of getting my friend patched up. We were out of the office by 9:30. Was there late Thursday evening. The front end nurse was very courteous but the doctor seemed like she didn't care. She spent about 15 mins talking about how the prescribed incorrect medication and didn't seem to get to the root cause of the problem! She didn't do anything to treat my pain other than touch where it was sore. And even then seemed like she was disturbed. Not a good sign from a doctor or maybe she was acting doctor. I was refused service, arrived 20 minutes before they closed. I had previously called and asked what time they closed and they told me 9pm. I told them that I was going on business travel at 1am the next day, they recommended to return the next day at 9am. If you see your last patient at 8:30pm, then switch your hours to 8:30pm, don't false advertise that you close at 9pm. read more

Came in as a walk in and was told it would be no more than 30 mins just to get a drug test. Waited close to 90 mins with 3 other people that walked in after me. I know 2 of them were also walk ins and the 3rd had an appointment at 12 and he was 45 mins early and still got seen before me. Visited in late January - medical service was barely ok. The medical assistants couldn't find anything. Doc had asked them for certain things and they'd bring the wrong item. Scary. Doc requested I come back a few days after initial visit for re-evaluation. Unfortunately I overheard them telling that to a number of patients; I imagine that's how they ensure more billing income and should have been my first sign to run out the front door. Further, my butterfly sutures and bandage fell off within 30 minutes after leaving on a Saturday after second/follow-up appointment. As their office was closed that afternoon and the next day, Sunday, had to make a judgment call of how to care for injury. Beware of billing - they required full payment up front on both visits stating "due to likely not meeting my deductible this early in the year." My fault for simply accepting that as an explanation as my insurance had changed on January 1 so I couldn't recall copay details. Again, heard them tell that to a number of incoming patients. Nearly 90 days later, I've called multiple times to request refund for both over payments and keep getting the run around and still waiting on such refund. read more
