Once I got the system running there was one dead panel which showed no damage and they sent out a warranty replacement in very little time. Our kit includes a permitting package which you submit to your local City to obtain a permit and also you permit package is your road map for your installation. We supply you with an instruction manual and all the tools to successfully install your own solar system. Our kit comes with everything you need including solar panels, inverters, racking, breakers, sub panel, AC disconnect, wires, conduit, sealant, drill bits, etc etc. You need not go to the hardware store. I have mixed reviews about solar wholesale. Like many comments here the primary issue is communication. The first contacts were great as we were designing the system. Once it went to planning is when things started to get flaky. Once we committed and made the initial payment I didn't hear from them for about two weeks. Asking for a status went unanswered for several days. Contact said they were out of the office. Ok, have an out of office message. Went back and forth several times between solar wholesale designing and SRP (Arizona utility company). Finally got plans solidified and one more correction was needed from City of Phoenix. This took several weeks and several emails until I finally had to blast every email I had to get a response which was "sorry, email got lost". Once everything was shipped everything they said was there, packaged well. Started going over the plans and parts supplied found an issue. In none of the conversations was it explained that I would have to supply a meter box and panel circuit breakers. When I asked where they were they said that it not part of the standard list of equipment even though the mater box is after the combiner panel so it never existed. In all the conversations, in the plans, it was never stated I had to supply those. Fine, let me know that I would need to find it and not last minute. SRP also has some very specific requirements for labels. Specific wording and materials necessary. They shipped the wrong labels originally but corrected that, but the company they use sent them to the wrong address but overnighted a new set. Awesome! Thank you! However that's not where this ends. SRP requires that several labels must be made of engraved or embossed metal and riveted on. I sent a couple emails about this but still have not had a response about these so out of frustration I ended up having to make my own. Fortunately I have access to the tools to do this. And Im glad I had a mini pre-inspection that caught a lot of this before failing the final an one. Lastly getting the APP setup. This is a mixed failure. But could have been easily corrected. My setup has gaps and a weird panel lines. It took 9 emails and 2 spreadsheets to get it fixed. And yes, my email got "lost" again. Ultimately this turned out to be a 7 month project that should have taken 5 and cost me an additional $700 and many hours finding or making the parts that everyone agreed to. So to sum this up...knowing what I know now, yes, I would still use solar wholesale for other projects but definitely ask more questions and have in writing several specifics on what I would have to source. Make sure they agree that everything they send will work in your area. read more

Spoke to Eric sales at solar wholesale. He started arguing with me saying the cost of solar does not include the cost of roof replacement. I said in my case, my roof is not leaking. Its an old roof but there is no need to replace the roof or make partial repairs unless it is leaking. But with solar I'm now recommended to do a total roof replacement. In addition, your costs do not include permit fees, metering fees, and any additional unforeseen costs if there is roof damage, or panels do not work properly. He started arguing that i am taking the worse case scenario. But in the case of solar sales, they are taking the best case scenario. Where if you took the $27,000 for the system, a home equity line of credit would cost 8% and the system would save me 6%, so I would actually be losing money. He said most of his buyers are purchasing all cash. He said we're not a good fit and hung up on me. He did however, provide the information that I needed to make an informed decision. And was honest about it, however, he was argumentative. He was knowledgeable and helpful, but the call seemed to end badly because it was not a good fit for me. I did not like that I was being given an attitude because it was not a good fit for me. read more

Stay away from this company!!!!! Once you sign the sales agreement you will be ghosted. I was told would qualify for energy trust, nope. They are not registered so no credit available. I had to send in my own application to the electric company to get the meter switched out. My solar panels have not worked and they are ghosting again. No customer service whatsoever. I can not get them to register my system with AP systems so I can monitor any change in production. Ap systems can not help they have contacted Solar wholesale and still nothing. Keep saying I should get an email with a link. every other email seams to find its way. Will be filing complaint with BBB and contacting an attorney. read more

I chose SolarWholesale / Next Energy Alliance because they had a local office and offered the lowest overall price I could find. It took them 28 business days from the time I signed the contract until I was generating power. And, the panels were actually installed 13 business days after the contract was signed. I don't think many companies can beat that short install timeframe. And, did I mention that they were the lowest price I could find in Utah? I am a Utilities Engineer, and I have to admit that I am super-happy with my experience. SolarWholesale added a car charger into the contract for an extremely low price, and they made good on their promise to install it. It was installed on the 14th business day. And, I have been saving money with this great, name-brand, level 2 charger ever since that time. I got 36 panels and a car charger installed for under $30K with a 2 year, same-as-cash finance option (included in the $30K price tag). After tax incentives and such, I should be well under $20K for everything. And, I expect my ROI to be somewhere between 8 and 9 years. My average generation per day in the first week is between $5 and $6 per day (or roughly 66 kWh of total energy generated per day times 9.2 cents per kWh for RMP's lowest tier rate). So, it isn't a get-rich-quick scheme by any means. But, I expect to save somewhere between $1,500 and $1,800 per year on power. And, that should be good enough to cover my power expenses on a 3,500 sq. ft. home with a big family. With the 30% off in federal tax credits and $1,600 off in Utah State credits at tax time, how can you go wrong? Those credits are going down year over year, so I believe that the time to act is now.
