Bought via Groupon in 2022 "Window tinting for 5 windows" for $115 (original price $220) it didn't say the tint percentage but I didn't want dark anyway. My MINI Cooper has 6 windows (excluding sunroof) as most cars do so you are always going to have to pay for one more window. Jacob encouraged me to upgrade to Ceramic window tint which is higher quality, lasts longer and has a 10yr warranty. I agreed. He gave me a deal of $200 cash (on top of the $115 paid to Groupon) plus $100 for the extra ceramic 6th window = $415 total. I have been happy w/the quality for two yrs until the back window w/coil lines started to bubble. I called and no problem, Jacob replaced it today at no extra cost since it was under warranty. Apparently MINI/BMW have thicker coil than most so this bubbling can happen. He said he put a thicker one on so it will last longer. I would recommend Jacob/SolarTek and just know that if you buy a Groupon it will cost more depending on the size of your car windows and the quality of the tint. I'm sure the Groupon is for basic tinting and they will certainly try to upsell you on a better quality product. read more

I found this place listed on Groupon. They advertised $55 for two windows which is perfect because I needed the two front windows tinted on my new Explorer. I called to make appointment and spoke to Keith who said to be there in 30 minutes so that he can squeeze me in before his next appointment. Good timing. Their store is part stereo shop, located in a small strip mall on Congress Ave just north of Atlantic Ave. I later found out that there's a $20 upcharge to get the darker shade to match the factory tint on the back. The tint package sold on Groupon is only for the legal percentage tint and comes with a lifetime warranty. The installer finished the job in 30 minutes. They also can do the front windshield tinted at 70% for $85 bucks. I have to make another appointment for that though, which I probably will in the near future. I'm happy so far with their work and I felt I got a pretty good deal. Would've been better if there was no upcharge considering now I paid $75 for just the two front windows which is the average price other tint shop are charging for two windows, and no Groupon is needed. Now I just have to remind myself not to roll down the windows for the next three days. read more

I had the ceramic tinting installed on my new SUV. Such a quality Installion I must say. The harmful rays from the sun are blocked now and the interior of my car is much cooler thanks to the ceramic tint. My tint is nice and dark just like I wanted. Paid for the tint through Groupon, then pair extra for 5 year tint!!! A year and a half later the whole rear window bubbling and peeling!!! Driver front window is so wavey can't see at night or in the rain!!! Brought it back, owner tried to charge me to fix his poor work!!! Would not go back there!!! read more

As of the writing of this review I'm still trying to get my windows tinted at this location. I made the mistake of purchasing a Groupon to get my windows tinted here and it seemed like a great deal, $106 for all five windows. First of all, the number to make an appointment must be some guys cell phone because twice already I've had to call him back since he wasn't at the office. Waited a couple days for the appointment, then when I go in there I was greeted very dryly by somebody who came out the back. Then I had to wait a few minutes for the "tint guy" who told me that it would be an up charge of $70 if I wanted to do 15%. He kept telling me that it says 30% on the Groupon (which it doesn't) and that I should call Groupon. Which I did but all the customer service rep did was say that she was going to "escalate it" and that I was going to hear back via email. So I walked out hoping that they could find a solution for me. Or at least get me my money back. I see now that was just some BS to get me off the phone. I tried to contact them via live chat and email and they are completely useless. Very disappointed with both Solartek and Groupon. Horrible customer service on both ends!!! read more

I wish I would have checked yelp prior to purchasing a Groupon for this business. They tried the old bait and switch with me too. The minute I told the owner I wanted 15% all the way around he told me there was an up charge of $35. I told him that was crazy and he told me it was in the fine print. I pulled up the groupon and asked him to show me where it said that and he declined to look and said whatever I"ll just do it. 2 hours later when my car came out it was not 15% all the way around. When I asked he told me he could do it because it was illegal. When I pointed out that I told him that's what I wanted and that he flat out told me he could do it for another $35 he acted like that was he first time we had spoken about it. He finally conceded and asked me to come back the following day. After our second visit I am now happy with the tint, but not with the experience. I normally go to Superior Tint in WPB, but they were booked. I should have just been patient and waited. I will never return here and recommend that you choose another tint location. read more
