Some background- our family was originally put into the shared care program as there was no MP available to take new clients. No problem. However, when my child grew older , I wanted him to have a regular doctor . So I approached the clinic many times about this and finally , this Dr. Kaler took our family as clients ( she jumped on the opportunity to take more clients ) . Everytime we go see her for my child, if we ask one extra question that is unrelated to what we went in for , she will ask us to book another appointment . She always seems distracted and doesn't seem to be actively listening to anything we say , we have to keep reminding her. Last month I went in for a check up , and she was one hour late . She came in , laughing , saying lunch took longer today. Seriously? My time is not worth anything then ? Yesterday I went in for a check up on my persistent coughing . She gave me some antibiotics and was very unfriendly (maybe I was wasting her time ) . I just went to the pharmacy , and the manager there refused to prescribe me the antibiotics as they were not supposed to be used for sinus infection ! Also, this type of antibiotics apparently had lots of side effects and most doctors do not prescribe them any longer . I am still waiting for the clinic or doctor to call me back with a new prescription ! This is extremely unprofessional and I cringe to think what could happen if I was alot sicker or that the meds were for my child. Needless to say , I am thankful that at least the pharmacist was doing her job. Will be changing doctors !!

My first doctor when I moved back was Sharona Koeler/Supernault of which I have read the worst possible reviews, all from women patients. My experience with her instead, has been very positive. I think some patients are too impatient and have the ability to make any doctor uncomfortable to deal with them. Years ago, my wife went through a terrible period dealing with cancer, she was referred to a surgeon who was described as very good but with a bad attitude with patients. Our experience with him was the best possible in a situation like that. He was very gentle, caring and very well mannered. I think doctors, like every other human beings, are rude with people who deserve to be treated rudely. Next to doctor Koeler, who moved to another clinic, I am being followed by doctor Megan Hurley while I am having some health troubles. She has been since the first visit, even if I wasn't a patient of hers, very caring, willing to listen and to explain, excellent in remembering my problems, following up with test results and further investigations and helpful in finding solutions to facilitate further tests. Last but not least, she is not afraid to smile, and sometimes a smile is already a good medicine. Exactly what every family doctor should be. By the way, as a whole I would recommend Bowmont Clinic as a whole, too bad that at the moment they are not accepting new patients. Giorgio Di Vetta Calgary

Upon arrival the office was full of patients but they took him in and diagnosed his pain and made a treatment plan. They were efficient, professional and accommodating. My husband does have to go back for a wisdom tooth extraction but all in all he is well on his way to being pain free and having future issues resolved before they become painfully emergent! I also was being treated for a plantars wart I picked up from a resort pool area and was charged to come back again and again to have him put on some ointment .. it was very painful for several days after each time. I finally went to my family Dr and she fixed it in no time with hydrochloric acid? And scraping. Less painful and FREE. We did not have all this extra money to put out in the 1st place. Overcharged and not helped !!

I have purchased 5 pairs of orthotics from various vendors with excellent results up until now! RUN…read moreaway from Cascade now!! Cascade personnel were less than "customer focused" or "professional". After my custom orthotics were made, during the fitting I immediately noticed that one orthotic was shaped differently than the other (there is an odd and random bump (not my arch!)), however the orthotist stated that this was due to my feet being different. She dismissed my concern by insisting my feet are different from each other. (However, note that all of my other orthotics are symmetrical and I never once developed blisters from them either during break-in or after years of use.) After walking in the new orthotics for a few hours as recommended, during the first 20 minutes of running I immediately developed a large blister in the same spot I noticed the abnormal shape. The orthotist had clearly stated during fitting that if I developed any problems whatsoever to call right away and come in. So, I called, but rather than booking an appointment I was told to "keep wearing them for a few weeks and see what happens". After the blister healed I wore them for walking a few hours a day as prescribed, but after an additional "break-in period", the first time I ran in them I got another huge blister in the same spot. Second problem: the orthotics were cut too short for my runners due to an assumption and lack of communication on the part of the orthotist. The suggested options to remedy this problem is that either I pay an additional $70 to have the orthotics lengthened, or I pay full price ($425) for another pair - Cascade takes no responsibility for addressing concerns at their own cost, even when at fault. Side note--The receptionist in less than professional and barks orders at you. The Orthotist was clear on a few things - she would not take any responsibility for cutting the orthotics too short; but could be added to at my cost! She removed some material to attempt to remedy the blistering problem, but if that does not resolve the issue all she will do is remove more material from the base of the orthotic, which leaves the curious "bump" in place as it is. I have no choice but to try them again and see if the blister re-appears, and if it does I'm pretty much out of options. Most disturbing was the way I was spoken to. The orthotist was confrontational and defensive, and neither of my concerns were addressed to my satisfaction. There was no admission of fault for cutting the orthotics too short, rather she insisted that she followed their normal procedure. My suggestion that there could have been additional communication before the adjustments was met with a blank stare. She offered very little to address my concerns. At this point I would only be satisfied with a refund, but Cascade does not offer refunds on custom orthotics - period. Beware - if your fitting goes wrong in any way, you will be on the hook for costs - not them, regardless of where the problems stem from. RUN RUN RUN! This is the first time I've had an issue and am not pleased with their lack of solution or assistance in this matter. RUN.
