Trust me, these people are amateurs - I would compare it to working with someone who has little training on a job versus someone who has been doing this for their career. It's well worth the resort fee to get Eduardo and team to capture these moments that will last a life time. Like anything else, you get what you pay for, and I know you are probably saving a ton by having a destination wedding in the first place. Use that extra cash on a vendor you can trust to provide you with the ultimate package that includes videography! I talk to so many people who see our highlight video and the one wish they had is that they spent the extra money on when looking back at their wedding experience.

I found BlackHat on Yelp; Eduardo responded quickly and clearly laid out the pricing and what we should expect. Eduardo and our photographer were both very professional and easy to communicate with via email and Whatsapp. Our photographer was Roy, who was fantastic. Not only did the pictures turn out beautifully, but we had so much fun during our session! I honestly was not looking forward to actually taking the photos, but it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Roy made sure we were having a great time throughout the entire session, and even put up with a rainstorm that happened right in the middle of the shoot! We were able to view and download the photos less than two weeks later - I was very impressed with the quick turnaround. I would not recommend Roy, Eduardo and BlackHat studios more!

Both instructors were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Most importantly they were very encouraging with us. Scuba diving proved to be mentally challenging. There's a lot to remember. They were constantly checking in with us to make sure we were OK. Daniel helped me with my first dive. He must've saw the fear in my eyes because he was so calming and encouraging. I probably wouldn't have been able to go down without his assurance. I would definitely use them again.

I never imagined I'd be writing a review like this. A…read morevacation should leave you with memories--not trauma. Unfortunately, ours left us with both. My husband and I came to Temptation Resort to celebrate his birthday, relax, and make memories together. Instead, we experienced one of the most frightening experiences of our lives. While we were napping in bed, the ceiling above our bed suddenly collapsed onto us. I woke up to the sound of crashing drywall and instinctively threw my legs up to shield my face from the falling debris. Looking at the damage afterward, I can't stop thinking about how differently this could have ended if I hadn't reacted in that split second. Looking back, there were warning signs. From the day we checked in, our room had a persistent wet, mildew-like odor and excessive condensation. I remember mentioning how strange it smelled, but I convinced myself it was just the tropical humidity. The room was both excessively cold and damp. What has stayed with me most, though, is not just the collapse--it's how we were treated afterward. I expected compassion. I expected concern. I expected someone to recognize that waking up to a ceiling crashing down on sleeping guests is a traumatic experience. Instead, I felt like the seriousness of what happened was minimized. The initial response was a lateral room change and upgraded wristbands for premium liquor, as if that could somehow make us forget what had just happened. Only after we continued to express how unacceptable the situation was did the resort offer an upgraded suite, steaks, cabana, and a (2) 25-minute massage. Those gestures completely missed the point. This wasn't about luxury upgrades or complimentary amenities. It was about our safety. It was about acknowledging the fear we experienced and taking responsibility for a catastrophic event that should never happen in an occupied guest room. Instead we got "things like this happen". Huh? To make matters worse, the resort refused to provide ANY refund--not even for the day the ceiling collapsed--unless we signed documents releasing them from liability. We were expected to sign away our rights before we even knew whether we had injuries or what the long-term impact of this experience might be. We declined. The emotional impact didn't end that night. For the rest of our stay, I couldn't relax. I suffered from extreme anxiety the next day, that warranted a doctor visit. At this time, the matter had still not been rectified. We were expected to wait around for the GM to speak with us, he never did- we never even met him. The sense of peace and security that a vacation should provide was gone. Instead of enjoying my husband's birthday trip , I spent the remainder of our trip feeling anxious, on edge, and constantly replaying what had happened. No guest should leave vacation with this experience. The front desk manager denied my request to any incident reports or doctor reports that included information pertaining to this situation. She didn't appear to have any remorse, empathy, or compassion. I'm sharing this not because I want sympathy, but because people deserve to know what happened and how it was handled. I hope the resort takes this incident seriously, thoroughly investigates what caused it, and changes how it responds when guests experience a major safety event. The photos tell the story better than words ever could. I truly hope no one else ever has to wake up the way we did.

So we started our research...and there are many to choose from. What set Sascha apart was simply his work. After looking at many others portfolios, we kept coming back to Sascha's pics. Sascha was superb at getting back to us in the weeks leading up to our honeymoon, literally responding within 1 hour. Upon Sascha's request, he met with us in person three days before our scheduled shoot - to get to know us, to pick our brains for exactly what we were looking for, etc. The day of the shoot we got rained out, but Sascha was again communicating with us and re-scheduled us for the next day. Meeting us at our AirBnB, he took us to the perfect location in Tulum. If we had to do it all over again, we would do nothing different. Sascha Gluck is who you want taking your pictures. Horrible hotel stay!! This hotel has terrible hospitality!…read moreWe stayed here a week and let me tell you, don't waste your money here! Staff is very rude. The owner, Keen is even worse and will not address problems you may have. Hotel is due for a major remodel. We tried to order drinks and food at the pool bar several times and could not get service ever. I don't know why they even have a bar, which is tiny and falling apart. The continental breakfast consisted of 2 plates of rotting fruit, a juice box and some type of stale bread. Was terrible! The towels they give you for the pool are so old and thin and barely covered half of our chairs. Also several of the beach umbrellas were broken and the staff was never around to fix them or change them out. They don't maintain the outside landscaping well at all. The lobby restroom was not clean and you could hardly fit inside to use the toilet as you are shoved up against a wall. They have several animals at this hotel and the barking dogs were quite annoying early in the morning when we were trying to sleep. I think they belong to the staff that lives there because we complained and they were very annoyed by our complaint and did nothing. We have been to Isla Mujeres several times and this was by far the worst stay yet. We will not return here again!

Check in was easy and the front desk staff was very helpful. They arranged a great trip to Chichen Itza for us and got us cabs when needed. The beach was amazing, small and private. The hotel set out beach chairs and tables every day. There were comfortable chairs around the clean, warm pool. The breakfast was a little sparse, but a good little snack before starting the day. It would have been nice if the bar were open, but there were enough places within walking distance for libations. I would highly recommend this location to others who want a nice, quiet, laid back hotel.
