Worst tattoo shop in area. Joseph the artist was extremely incompetent. Gave a tattoo, it turned out like a 5 year old drew it. He seemed to be more concerned with his hair then doing what was paid for. In addition he needed a shower, his body odor was so offensive that it nearly made me throw up. I wish I would have stopped him as he started as it was disgusting to smell this man who has not seen soap in months. Horrible experience and regret walking in to this shit hole on vacation. The other artist there was Juan who was as unkempt as the other one. Maybe some hygiene for the artists, it should start with that. Besides the shitty work Joe did the whole place was filled with incompetent artists who worried about cat calling woman as they walked up the street than providing a service. Each time I was sort of ignored or blown off. The other day I randomly met an artist downtown and we talked about tattoos and art. I looked at some of his work on line and said this guy is amazing ... I was indifferent but He said you really need to give this place another shot it's different now. I am so glad I did! Prior to my making an appointment, he was kind enough to schedule a consultation call. He took the time to ask me what I wanted and proceeded to designed me a beautiful tattoo. He Easily accommodated and made any adjustments I requested. He made me feel comfortable, was totally professional and I was so impressed by him I scheduled an appointment for myself and two of my employees. I can't say enough great things about his work. When presented with the two images wanted by my employees he accommodated both of them with no problem! The shop was also comfortable, clean and the girl behind the counter was super friendly. I have wanted to pierce my nose since I was in my 20's. I know that ar my age 44 some might say oh she is old for that. However, baby we are never to old to do what we want and please. Hands down the best decision I ever made and hands down the best place I got the piercing done. The gentleman that pierced my nose was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, answered 1 and all questions I had, I was extremely nervous did not know that to expect I honestly thought I was going to pee on my pants. You know you're in the right spot when you ask for a third time piercing, and you get denied. Reason being, essentially the jewelry will get rejected. The owner of the shop is incredibly knowledgeable and honest. Thank you for not letting me waste my time and money. *My nose ring swap was seamless. Honesty does hurt, so don't come here if you're weak hearted and can't sit through the truth. If you're looking to get a tattoo, this IS the best spot around town. If you're uncertain, than do yourself a favor a go talk to the artists in the shops you're interested in. Pick their brain and make sure they know what they're talking about before you get ugly inked on you till death due you part. Let the record show, these previous reviews are quite old. I have sat for 2 sessions with Dana at Solid Image who is an amazing talented artist with great skill and superior customer service. What I look for in an artist is one who takes an idea and personalizes it to me NOT to their ideal but rather mine as the customer. Dana did an incredible job! He was swift yet thorough. He was suggestive, yet not pushy. The staff overall is of high quality. The lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The owner has a presence there which shows his commitment to his business. I rate the shop 5 STARS and Dana the artist 10 STARS if yelp would allow me. I called & easily scheduled a next-day appointment at Solid Image. The staff were all very accommodating to me as an out-of-towner, & they understood we were on a quick time crunch. I took the fella here to get matching teeny tiny anchor tattoos, & they both turned out perfect. I called to let them know we were running behind, & they couldn't have been nicer or more understanding. Both artists did our tiny tattoos at the same time, so we were in & out in no time flat. Do not waste your time going here. The atmosphere is really weird and unpleasant. The second after my friend got his septum pierced a very loud, unsettling, curdling scream of a woman and baby erupted from the front desk. The girl there was watching netflix. What if that went off when the needle was going through his nose? He passes out at the sight of blood. That would be a disaster. But it also was really unprofessional. He started to feel more anxious and nervous than he already was. Also, the piercer is a huge jerk. They had a sign up that said $5 ALL acrylic ear plugs and he was trying to charge me double. I asked why the sign would lie, and he was very snappy. "I don't know what to tell you. Do you want it or not?" I was honestly taken aback by how rude that was. I was silent for a few seconds. Then he put the jewelry back angrily before I said anything. Overall a terrible experience. read more

Very unprofessional. Got my nose pierced, the piercer was acting strange and falling all over the place. Opened my eyes after he pierced me and noticed his eyes were closed and he was stumbling. He cleaned up my nose with a paper towel and then smelt the bloody rag. When I first walked in he seemed very normal. I left because I was creeped out and didn't know what to say but came back about 20 minutes later to complain. By that time he was back to normal. Went in for a piercing, my upper cartilage in my left ear, and my fiancé wanted to get a new hoop for her old nose piercing. I'm assuming I met with the owner when we walked in. He was very nice and informative right off the bat. He pierced my ear and put a new hoop in my fiancés nose. The whole processed was very sterile and laid back. When my Fiancé and I left and got back into the car she noticed the ring was bigger than she wanted. We went back in with intention of paying for a new piece of jewelry, but the owner removed the piece he just put in, gave it to us and put a new piece in and told us not to worry about it. I have had several of my tattoos done at this shop and have been pleased by all of my tattoos. The staff is not the friendliest, but they produce good work. My most recent tattoo was with Bruce. His work was phenomenal and I was really pleased with the way it came out. Just like every tattoo, there are always some lines and color that heal a little weird and need a little bit of touch up. So I made an appointment with Bruce and upon my arrival he was very defensive about the area that needed to be touched up and argued with me that he purposely wanted that area of my tattoo to look faded. I am sorry, but I think I remember paying for this tattoo and it being on my body, so whether you intended for that "spot to look faded" or not, does not matter. It is my tattoo and I have to go around with it. Bruce then proceeded to cop an attitude and hurriedly through some black ink into the tattoo to make it look like he threw some detail into it. It is a shame because I love his work and had several other pieces I wanted him to do, but because of his lack of people skills and his lack of respect for his own work I will NEVER return to this shop or sit in his chair.
