Dr. T is super compassionate and makes you feel comfortable right away. She is soft and gentle, and great for moms because there's a little play room in her office should you have to bring your kiddo. Dr. Barnum has a background in athletics and will definitely send you home with exercises, but if you do them then you probably won't have to come back. Dr. Crow is Mr. Fix it and can diagnose anything. One time I came in for an emergency neck pain hours before I had to get on a plane, and he found whatever was tight in my jaw and helped me have a pain-free vacation. Everyone really knows their stuff and they are always there to help even on short notice. The doctors they recommended don't take the insurance but after a careful check through the insurance company we were able to find this company. This is one of the doctors that works for The Cardiovascular Center of Florida. They have several locations around Central Florida and the first one I found was in Kissimmee. The phone number you call is for a central operator at one of their Orlando locations. I explained what was needed and the fact that we needed to see someone and hopefully get an approval from them before the end of the year. After a careful search they were able to get us an appointment with this doctor at their Doctor Phillips location. We did have a little difficulty finding it as we located the address but the name on the building is for another company also in the building. Apparently this is a newer location for The Cardiovascular Center. They did have a small sign out front that I missed when first driving by. We entered and checked in at the counter. We filled out some paperwork and waited a short time till they called them in. The nurse went through the basics and then set us up in a room to cover the medical history and then do an EKG. Once they were done we had a short wait for the doctor to come in. We have had some bad experiences with doctors in the state and were guarded at first. Surprisingly Dr LaFran was one of the best doctors we have encountered. He listened carefully to what was going on and was mindful when it was explained to him that we both have problems with certain odors and perfumes. He happened to be wearing cologne and opened the door and kept his distance as much as possible. This is above and beyond what any other doctor has done with my child and the knowledge of their allergies. He did a basic exam and then sent them up to come in to get an echocardiogram next month. He also gave the approval that was needed so they can get one of their medications from another doctor. From start to finish this was one of the best appointments experienced in this state especially on a first appointment.
