I am very happy I didn't let the negative reviews of this office stop me from coming here. Dr Debnath was great! My husband and I both thought he was professional, knowledgeable, patient, thorough, respectful and a good listener with a sense of humor. He took the time to review my files prior to coming in to the exam room and gave a clear explanation of the treatment plan going forward. He was also very gentle during the nasal and throat exams. The reviews of the medical office scared me especially since I had made my appointment before reading the them. But my experience was totally positive. The appointment started before my scheduled time. The office and medical staff were all very friendly and supportive. Dr. Cox was awesome. He understands my issue and has set me referred me to services that may help. I am glad I chose this path for help with my medical issue. Also, there was no charge for the initial appointment at this time they will bill after the insurance company pays. Made the appointment. Arrived at the time of the appointment. After waiting 25 minues to be called back the overworked receptionist said that she was checking to see when I would be called back. I simply left. The office appears overbooked and the staffing is very few. In fact, the sign at the counter tells their "valued" customers to only ring the bell one time per person. If nobody addresses you in 5 minutes, you may ring it again. All you need to know right there about who is impoertant. read more

I had a nosebleed for a few months, and I went to see a doctor in the Florida Otolaryngology Group. He performed a small procedure to burn the blood vessel in nose. It worked for 3 days, then the nosebleed came back. I had to go back again, and he performed the same procedure. So now I got 2 bills for the 2 visits and I don't like it. If he is a good doctor, he would not have to do twice to fix a simple problem. Imagine we have to visit a doctor twice for every single procedure we have to do. Not recommended at all! read more

20 minutes of answering endless questions on an iPad consigning so many agreements (in small letters) that I cannot remember anymore, followed by a wait and more questions by the nurse or sec which could have been asked on the iPad. It's now 50 minutes and I'm still waiting. Disregard for patients' time for few reasons mainly because the questions on the iPad were not all needed. An hour and 50 minutes wa the visit and I feel the doctor was lost for something relatively simple. The hearing test was old looking "lab" which seemed to be 20-30 years old. Worst of all, the doctor recommended invasive proceedures for a very simple thing. AVOID. read more

Dr. Matthew Cox has truly been an exceptional doctor over the past couple of years. His warmth, expertise, and ability to alleviate my concerns before my sinus surgery have been invaluable. I have complete faith in Dr. Cox. My initial experience with the practice 13 years ago was when Winnie Palmer misdiagnosed my son. However, Florida Otolaryngology swiftly and accurately diagnosed him with Mono, resulting in his prompt admission to another hospital. His subsequent week-long stay revealed one of the most severe cases of mono on record, leading to the creation of case studies based on his illness. I haven't had terrible experiences with making appointments and I always confirm my appointment ahead of time to avoid the questions on the iPad. This seems to be the way medical appointments are transitioning. I prefer answering questions on my phone or computer via text before my appointments rather than while I'm there; it's easier. read more

I paid my co pay and had my appointment and received a $500 bill in the mail. I called to discuss and they just said deductibles blah blah blah and the doctors do not get involved in financial. In my opinion the doctor should I treat the entire patient including their financial situation and inform a patient when something additional might need to be done in an appointment to run in through their insurance to check the out of pocket. There is no way I would have agreed to nose spray and a tiny camera being shoved up my nose for 30 seconds for $500. They said I could set up a payment plan but The minimum payment plan they would allow me was $100 per month. read more

My grandson had an appointment and his parents called to make sure that they would see him with only me present. they said there was no problem. I drove 40 minutes to take him, had a letter signed by his parents saying they gave their permission for him to be treated in my care. we were told we would be seen shortly. after going to the exam room, the office manager came to tell us they would not see my grandson without a parent. I was furious, after all the steps we took to make sure there wouldn't be an issue. my grandson was in tears, with ear pain and being told he would not be helped. Horrible experience in here. If you're paying out of pocket, they will milk you for every penny that they can get out of you. If you have insurance, they will probably try to do the same thing but insurance companies probably won't let them and will set them straight. Dr Steehler seemed like a nice person but it was very unethical of him to perform a so called "procedure" without explaining and disclosing that it was a procedure that comes with an additional cost. When I shared my concern, I was bullied by the office administrator by the name of Michelle. Her explanation was "it is what it is". Saw Dr. Reese for an ear issue and I couldn't be more pleased. He explained thoroughly what I was experiencing and why. Got me the help I needed and was friendly as well. The office is using new computer software which allows new patients to fill out medical information on a germ-free iPad. Best part? I didn't have to fill in my insurance info--scanning my card automatically put it all in my file. My wait time was minimal, the staff was friendly and helpful. read more

Well, after being forced to cut ties with my previous ENT doctor due to insurance changes, I found this place and I'm glad I did. Not only do they take my insurance, but they are fantastic. First impression: After attempting to even get an appointment at other ENT offices, it seems like I was always quickly rushed off the phone as thought I was wasting the receptionist's time. However, with Florida Otolaryngology Group, I was treated like a real person and wasn't rushed or spoken to like I was interrupting someone's nap. That stood out from other ENT's that took my insurance so I booked an appointment. This level of service continued on my actual appointment day in the waiting room with the folks at the check-in window. It followed when I was called back by the nurse who was fun and friendly as well. So far, so good! So, what about the doctor? Well ... he was just as nice and attentive! Dr. Debnath was super chill, didn't rush, explained things to me and addressed my concerns. (I've had a polyp I wanted to get checked out due to vocal issues.). He listened to what was going on and we were able to determine what my issue was and how to fix it. Again, I felt like a person and not a "patient." While everyone I interacted with was nice, including Dr. Steehler, the appointment felt like a total waste of time and money. While waiting in the room, he could be heard outside in the hallway complaining about three new appointments that had just been added for fifteen minutes out when he was already really busy. He looked in my ears using the same tool my primary care doctor used the week before and then sent me off to the small hearing room, a test that I get annually at work. While I passed the test, I returned to the room and explained different popping and discomfort that only impacted the problem ear. I could barely finish my sentences before he'd start talking and felt incredibly rushed. I left with unanswered questions and no desire to return to his office. Update: After leaving this review, my prescriptions were canceled, truly providing no value to this visit. I'll now have to find a new doctor that's willing to help my ear problems. I recently had a balloon sinusplasty on a Friday afternoon performed by Dr Cox. procedure went well and was handed a bag with medication as I was leaving. a few hours later it was time to start medication and then realized the bag contained no post op instructions, information, guidance, etc. nothing! so I went online and found post op instructions posted by another ENT for ballon sinusplasty and followed them. felt ok Saturday and Sunday but Monday I began to feel like a sinus infection was coming on- slight fever, chills, just felt crummy. I had follow up with Cox Wednesday and he assured me it was inflammation, he sucked a bunch of stuff out of my nose and said I should now feel better. woke up next morning feeling worse and now was suffering from nausea and dizziness. called Dr Cox and left message with nurse. shortly later she left me a message relayed from Dr cox" whatever is wrong is nothing I did, go to urgent care" - he BLEW ME OFF! of course now I'm really worried- what is wrong with me? urgent care did CT scan, blood test, etc only to discover that I was badly inflamed from the sinusplasty, which is normal - sinusitis happens after these procedures and yes, it's going to make me feel pretty crummy for a while. why couldn't Dr Cox have taken five minutes to talk to me and explain this? what's more, after my procedure he gave me two bottles of a medicated saline solution that he made in his office- the bottles had no dosage, no instructions so I was using about 4 times a day. urgent care informed me the medication in it was a steroid! luckily the doctor at urgent care called Dr Cox to find out what was going on and he said I should have used the spray only twice a day. why weren't these instructions written on the bottle? this overdose contributed to my symptoms. Dr Cox could have cared less about my distress, and as a result I had tests I didn't need and went through a day of hell because he couldn't be bothered to talk to me. and to send me home from a procedure with NO written aftercare instructions is negligent to say the least. I will never see this man again and I strongly urge anyone considering Dr Cox to reconsider. I will let my primary care doctor who recommended him know what he did to me and strongly urge her to discontinue referring patients. I'm also considering filing a complaint with the medical board. read more

We recently went to this medical offices and had an incredible experience. Dr. Nick Debnath was a great listener, very personable, and very thorough. I generally try to stay away from any doctors offices unless I have to go. I had to go this time as I had nose complications. Dr. Debnath put me at ease, discussed the process before he engaged, was a clear communicator, answered all of my questions, and is definitely knowledgeable/skilled. The entire experience at this clinic was good. Remember to arrive there 30 minutes prior to your actual appointment time to allow time to answer the questionnaire for new patients. Not only was Dr. Debnath excellent, but the initial associate that took us in was quite nice as well as the student that was working with Dr. Debnath. I called them because I had the doe from my hearing stuck in my right ear. I originally went to my hearing aid provider who proceeded to push it further in. They recommended an urgent care. I went to the urgent care who pushed it so far in I was in extreme pain. When I called, the front office staff were so helpful they got me in that very afternoon. In less than five minutes I was pain-free. I have now switched over to them as my hearing aid providers. When I went to my first hearing aid appointment everybody was super nice, super friendly. The audiologist even took time to do an additional test at no charge and help me recognize that I truly do have loss of speech recognition in one of my ears. Here I was thinking that my hearing aids just won't work right.... come to find out, it's my ears not working right. read more

Visted Florida Otolaryngology Group Dr. John F. Huhn (in Winter Park) for tinnitus. Because the first doctor I saw with the same practice, Dr. Nick Debnath (in Orlando Metro West) didn't bother to look at my chart and prescribed a medication I was already taking. Dr Huhn was very smart aleck. First question out of his mouth was "Why didn't you like Dr. Nick Debnath". I proceeded to explain how he spoke to me from the hallway with the door open and had a phone call he had to hurry and take, said there's a prescription on the counter for you and ran off, he duplicated a medication that I was already taking, so that was a waste of a office visit, my time and money. Dr Huhn was money hungry and duplicated a hearing test I had 4 months prior and proceded with stack billing. I had told him nothing had changed. John Huhn's response to me was a tap on my knee with his pencil and said "Get used to it, there's nothing that can be done for tinnitus". Both doctors were extremely unprofessional and lacking in knowledge, patient care, basic communication and medical knowledge of tinnitus. I wouldn't recommend anyone to see these doctors or anyone in the practice. I paid my copay in full. I was walking out and checked with the desk and the lady stated, you are set, already paid in full. My online Insurance reflected I had not paid. I had called my insurance company and called the office. Apparently, John Huhn decided to charge me for several tests that I just had. To make matters worse the billing department doesn't know how to make the payment show as paid with the insurance. Spoke with Laura and David in billing. I told them to call the insurance company and David refused saying he was not going to call. This office is a circus to say the least. The doctors that were the best in this practice are now retired. Stay away from all the locations Orlando Metro West and Winter Park! They will waste your time and money and treat you like a number to get you in and out. Such horrible experiences, not once but twice. My son who works in an Emergency Room was with me said he had never seen a doctor so incompetent and rude. Don't even think about going to Florida Otolarynogology Group unless you like wasting your time and money. These offices are notorious for not answering the phones, not returning messages and hanging up. You will find this in other reviews as well. I had to drive to the office to make an appointment. I can't say anything good about this practice or doctors I visited. There are many great Otolaryngologists in Orlando I have since found. read more

I'm grateful for this team of doctors. They helped me in 2007 when I had on going ear infections and found the source of the problem. My other ear started having issues this December, so I'm back. Turned out to be an issue that requires surgery. I'm early in my pregnancy, so I have to return monthly for monitoring until I can have a scan later and the surgery. Dr. Cox and Dr. Reese were wonderful with helping me understand the issue, reassuring me not to worry, and making sure the treatment would be safe and in good timing to protect my unborn child. Wait times in the lobby could be a little better, but they're not terrible or too long. read more

I am a patient here and I called today to make an appointment ASAP because I woke up with an Ear pain so I went to my medical doctor and she informed me that I had the dome from my hearing aid in my ear. My medical doctor was unable to remove it and suggested that I see an ear doctor immediately. So I call and try to make an appointment and the lady who answered the phone told me that they were booked for three weeks. I was in pain and I told her I couldn't wait for three weeks, this is a medical emergency. I will never go back there again. I'm not sure if thet are any good or not. I started with getting a referral on November 4th 2021 . 2 weeks later I checked my PCP who said they sent it in. The Florida Otolaryngology Group FOG said they didn't have it. I asked my PCP to resend it a week later, FOG said it had the wrong codes, and that they sent the request back with codes needed. I call PCP they said they didn't it. I called FOG and asked what codes they needed. I emailed my PCP with the codes. My insurance company said they got the ok on the referral. My PCP sent the code documentation to the insurance company again. I called a week later to FOG, they said they don't have it. I called insurance company on December 9th and they have a referral for Dr. Huhn, they put me on hold call the FOG who says they don't have it, insurance keeps me on hold while the electronically resend it. FOG tell my insurance company that they didn't receive it again, but, are having trouble with receiving faxes and maybe could have gone to Dr. Huhns office, but, couldn't tell fir sure. Insurance recommended calling FOG the next day which I did. At that time they have no referral. I told them the insurance said it was approved and sent to them. FOG said they didn't have it and could not help me. I called back the week, five days before Christmas and the following day. I only got answering machine. Today the 23rd I got a message to call them. I did, got an answering machine again. They called me back and asked what I needed.I told them I have been trying to get an appointment since November 4th. She says they have no referral. I'm livid at this point, and as I'm explaining everything, she finds a referral, but, can't get me in until January. My insurance changes to a different company and I will need a new referral from that company. And I asked will that takes 2 months also, she said it shouldn't and I said the first one shouldn't have either. I said have a nice holiday and hung up. After leaving this review and being desperate I called back to see if I could see a different doctor before the end of the year. They first said I needed a referral, I said you have it already, I was put on hold, and as she picked up the phone we were disconnected. I called back, I got an answering machine I left no voice message and even though they have my phone number they did not call back after being disconnected. read more

I've been going to this office for several years now and it's always great. when you're a new patient you have the option to fill out your new patient paperwork online so when you show up you just turn everything in and you're good to go. such a time saver! the office workers are always very friendly and work well with other offices and insurance. Dr. Reese is the best! He's very personable and really cares about making you feel better. I've seen him for multiple things: ear, nose and throat. I suffer from chronic allergies and it has affected several parts of my life. I used to just deal with it. Dr. Reese showed me much better ways to manage my symptoms and it has changed everything for me! Also his assistant/partner Maria is literally wonderful, so funny and caring. read more

A freak ear incident had me rushing to the ER to try to save my hearing. My industry, career, and thought processes would not be possible without hearing. What was initially "muffled hearing" became "no hearing at all", and then the ER... discharged me? Somehow, in less than 48 hours, the situation crossed the right desk, and Dr. Brittany Dobson saved in ten minutes what an entire emergency room could not make any better in six hours. Really, I owe her more than I could ever give. She was sharp, quick, would listen, noticed body language for pain, and was frankly the gold standard by which I'll likely judge any doctor going forward, knowing that quality care is still out there. Dr Dobson may never see this, but I was despondent. She didn't just save my hearing, she may have saved my life overall, because I couldn't imagine my life remaining silent - and now I no longer have to imagine or fear that. If I could give this place no stars I would. I don't know how anyone could give them great reviews but I had the worst experience at this office. My first appointment should have been my warning sign. they had nothing ready to go for me even though I submitted all of my paperwork online prior to arriving so that I wouldn't have to wait as long. HA! not only did I wait almost an hour but I ended up having to reschedule my appointment due to not being able to make it in time to pick up my kids from school (mind you, I drove all the way from Mount Dora just to come here based on reviews). My next appointment I waited about 20-25 minutes after my appointment time (despite it being a morning apt). Once I was taken the back the nurse herself was actually very nice. the dr that came in after, well lets just say it started off fine and went downhill rather quickly. I don't have hearing loss issues. I've had an apt at a different Dr's office where I was told it wasn't a bad idea to get my ears cleaned/suctioned every so often. I started to feel as though i had water in my ear so this is what I made the apt for. after the dr looks in my ears, rings his little chime and answers my 1 whole question about suction, his whole demeanor changes. he suggests a hearing test, which at first I agree to but as I thought about it I decided I didn't need a hearing test. I don't have a hearing issue, just excessive buildup in my ears. Well once I let him know that I didn't want the test as he suggested well his whole demeanor changed, he walked out of the room, told the nurse that I was a total waste of his time and didn't even bother to come back after that. wow, what a great dr! Now here I sit with a bill that is incorrect because even though I didn't have the test done I still managed to get charged for it (funny how we don't get to charge them for wasted time for appointments they cant keep on time). Please save yourself the time and aggravation and find yourself a different group of dr's. there is an amazing one in Lake Mary and had I known better I would have just driven right back there!! read more

I should have known by the reviews that this establishment was going to be horrible. I just had a septoplasty for my deviated septum and the staff and Dr. Steeler were very unprofessional with no bedside manners or respect. Prior to the surgery I was not explained the dos and don't s post surgery. I was also given a nose spray that hurt my nose. After surgery I was throwing up, had a horrible throbbing headache, and in pain. One of the nurses said while I was throwing up that she didn't have time for this. I told them that I didn't want to leave because of how sick I felt after surgery and they forced me to leave. I had my follow up appointment and told Dr. Steeler my experience which he did not acknowledge or apologize for his staff behavior. He basically just walked out and said if I needed anything to schedule an appointment. Needless to say I'll never go back and you should stay away from this unprofessional and uncaring establishment. read more

When I checked in I could clearly overhear 2 employees making fun of an elderly couple who were having difficulty with the tablet registration. Review Florida Otolaryngology Group, P.A., Orlando, FL ENT: Let me start by saying the Dr. was ok. The problem is the office staff. I went in to have a simple 5 minute proceedure done. I was told that my only prortion was my $50 copay. I agreed to this. Then I recieved a letter from them stating that it was actually a $600 proceedure and I was responsible for about $250. Thinking this was was a mistake, I called the office and they told me that it was not a mistake and I owe them $250. I explaind this was never disclosed to me. Had I known that this was the cost the cost for a 5 minute proceedure, I would not have done it. The front office staff was not truthful, then tried to blame me for the mistake. They said "we did not do anything wrong, how are we supposed to know what your insurance will pay". Well I thought that was their job. They refused to admit any wrongdoing and said it will go to collections in i dont pay it. I was astonished at the lack of customer service and accountability in the insurance / office department. At one point the man in charge of handling insurance claims told me "that person that gave you the misinformation is no longer with us, but you are still responsible for the balance". read more
