I found this gem of a nursery while in town visiting family. My stepmom was looking for herbs and flowers for her yard in Sonora and I was just tagging along until I saw their incredible selection of Japanese maples. A special variegated Ukigumo caught my eye and I ended up coming back for it later in the week. The people there were friendly and I felt prices were reasonable. read more

We happened on this lovely nursery after a recommendation from a competing nursery. We were looking for some trees and they guided us to Solomon's. The associate that helped us ended up being a family friend and she was very kind and patient with us as we meandered through rows and rows of trees and talked through our indecisive ideas. She was able to help us find lovely trees for our zone and full sun area. She also guided us to some wonderful organic potting mix to give our new trees a great start.The trees are doing well and we appreciate her care and kindness. This is the kind of store you could bring a cup of coffee and stroll through for hours. It was a fun experience. read more

Went to visit Solomon's Landscaping & Nursery Second week in October. They had amazing fall trees. Most Beautiful in red Keith Davey Chinese Pistache and beautiful arrays of Maples and Japanese Maples. If your looking for large fall trees they got the best I've seen yet. A little pricey but worth it for beautiful quality trees. I wanted them all Sugar Maple, Norwegian Sunset Maple, Red Flaming Maple. read more

They have tons of plants that are known to survive in Tuolumne County. Their staff is knowledgeable and personable. If you need a landscape architect or a baby succulent, Solomon's is the place to go. read more

Great selection on plants that grow well in the mountain area. The Japanese Maples are very nice at this nursery. Price is on the higher side but water costs are rough these days so it's understandable. read more

Solomon's helped me, in Montana, and my sister, in France, to put give our Mom a superlative 90th birthday present! Solomon's received 9 deck-railing planters, lovingly put dwarf blooming shrubs in them, and then delivered the planters to my parents for my Mom's birthday in March. Since everyone was "social distancing" at the time, there was communication and best wishes only through windows/sliding glass door, but the deck railing planters are now beloved by both parents and we immediately heard when the lilac started to bloom. Called George to come to our house and give us drawings and ideas for landscaping our 4+ acre property. We gave him some ideas we had for our property and he told us his hourly rate ($150/ hr). For that charge we were expecting detailed drawings, plant list, etc. After walking our property for a few hours he left. After a few days he returned and spent another hour walking around our property. When we finally sat down to discuss his input, he gave us an 8.5 X 11 piece of paper with some scribble marks in pen. It basically revealed what we discussed at the start of our conversation. He then told us his bill was $450 for time on our property and the piece of paper. This was absolutely not worth the money. We finally had to call him and ask for a plant list and additional information just to help justify the ridiculous charge. We basically got nothing out of this service. Don't call for this service unless you have it in writing what you will get for the charge and want to waste your money. read more

I am so glad I found this nursery! The people there are always friendly and helpful, all the plants and trees I have gotten there are very healthy, and the prices are very fair. George and his team of employees did a fantastic job on my front yard. It looks beautiful. Drought tolerant plants, a great drip system so it won't cost me a fortune to water and almost maintenance free. He did what we asked and it's perfect. We've been to the nursery too and love just to walk around and see the variety of plants. Been shopping his nursery ever since he opened. Thanks George!!!
