She went against my wishes, and pretty sure the guidelines of being a therapist - turned my entire session into an unplanned session with my mother without my consent. She only asked me if she could come in FOR A FEW MINUTES. My mother was seeing her SEPARATELY and she is very easily manipulated, had a whole new perspective on issues revolving around me..... when she was supposed to be getting help for herself. PAULICIA did not recognize that my mother is codependent and clearly was turning her own therapy sessions into whatever issues she was having with me (a grown woman). She clearly enabled that. During the session where I was blindsided, they tried to have some kind of intervention with me about issues I never brought up with my therapist (because they were paranoia based, from my mother, mostly about my boyfriend who was not present????) I began getting overwhelmed feeling targeted for no reason when I just really needed to talk to someone whom I was PAYING TO TALK TO. I began CRYING and Paulicia did not give a damn. She only kept attacking me. And by attacking I do mean ATTACKING my character. Not helpful at all, just tearing me down...... I had literally just gotten through inpatient & outpatient, but I'm not delusional. This was an extreme violation of consent and privacy. I had to remove myself from the building (responsible!) and nobody cared at all. When I contacted the "boss" about it she didn't care, only offered me a free session or something, as if I would ever go there again. I have seen therapists all my life due to extreme child abuse and NEVER had any situation like that occur. Now I struggle with therapy because of genuine trauma from this experience, when I never struggled before. I hope she gets the help she clearly needs. God bless her heart. Tried psych drugs for the first time in my life through Carencia…read more Started having severe panic attacks, and severe anxiety. And yes severe, meaning my wife kept having to call an ambulance to come pick me up and they would have to give me Xanax to get me to calm down. I eventually had to go to rehab to get off the Xanax. Here we are 2 and a half years later an still suffering from severe anxiety that has affected many relationships, and work. When I originally told the dr what was happening he cut off all communication with me. The only call I ever received from him was asking me to take down my negative review. I couldn't believe it. I never met someone who was so supportive but the moment he knew he messed up just cut ties with me. Showed his true colors. For the rest of my life I will try and encourage people to stay away from these drugs and more importantly stay away from psych "Drs"

It is disheartening to know that while our nation is facing a pandemic there are people who being…read moredishonest and down right scamming others. Please DO NOT go to Family First Counseling for any counseling needs. I was looking for a counselor for my adolescent daughter, I called Family First to see if Megan was accepting new adolescent patients and also to see if she accepted my insurance. I was told yes to both questions but was told I had to have a pre-interview to see if my daughter was a right fight for Family First Counseling. I was told I was have to pay a $50 out of pocket fee for this 30mins session with a student counselor and they could not bill my insurance for this session, I should have seen the red flag then but I had my daughter's best interest in mind over money. Any other counselor's office that I contacted will give you a FREE 10-15 minute session to see if you and the counselor would be a good fit for each other, again I was not thinking of the money but my daughter. After having the 30min session with the student, I was told she felt my daughter would be a good fit and she would email me some paperwork to sign. She explained Megan schedule was pretty busy but there was an option for two other counselors with more availability. After a week of me emailing to get the paperwork that I was told I needed to sign and asking what was the status as I wanted my daughter to have her first session and not getting any response, I received an email stating Megan was not taking any new adolescent clients and gave me a list of four counselors whom are with other practices. ALL four of those counselors clearly state on there website they do not see adolescent clients and do not accept my insurance. I sent an email expressing how I felt I scammed and received a rather rude email back from Megan herself assuring me I would received my money back, that was weeks ago and no refund as of yet! Please stay away from this place!
